Really easy class if you want an easy A. Lectures are not mandatory but really interesting. I would recommend doing the projects and journals if you don't want to study the tests.

Part of what makes this class easy is that David is a great lecturer. I took this class online, and his videos were still engaging through a computer. He offers a wonderful glimpse into such an interesting topic, and does so in an easy-to-understand way. Some answers are only found in lectures, but it was a good class to take online.

Schweingruber is passionate about sociology, and you can tell he enjoys it. It's easy to pass this class, but there isn't any incentive to show up to class. Nobody pays attention and everything is available on the slides. All the work is pretty much done outside class. Exams are okay, just study his slides very carefully. Overall, its an easy A

He's a charismatic speaker and explains the topics well. It'll be tempting to skip class as there are no attendance points, but don't. Some test questions discuss in-class examples that aren't found on the notes.

Easy class to get credit for. Really don't have to go to class much as there are no participation points in it. Just do the projects and the journal articles and you'll be fine. Tests aren't too tough as long as you read over the slides and study alittle before you go take it.

The professor was hilarious during lectures and also tried to make them entertaining for students. Attendence and assignments in this class are optional, you only need to get 240 points to receive an A in this class. There are multiple ways to obtain these points (exams, extra credit, etc) Easy soc class that I would recommend to all ISU students.

Schweingruber was a solid professor. All the points in the class are optional (technically) so you choose what assignments and projects you need to do to be successful. Attendance isn't mandatory but his lectures are interesting. Learned a lot and enjoyed this class!

Class is not mandatory and it is still very easy to ace the exams if go over the lecture slides a few times. Although class is sometimes fun. Dr. Schweingruber makes it very east to get an A in his course as well. Very easy class where you will still learn some interesting things!

Point-based grading, only have to get 240 points. If you do well on the 3 exams (50 points each) and weekly journals (5 points each) you will have around 225 points so you just have to a project or 2. Lectures are somewhat interesting but attendance isn't necessary, exam questions are straight from the slides which he posted after lectures.

Often goes into to much detail during lectures causing class to drag. Test are okay, just study the questions he gives at end of lectures. You can skip classes and still get a good grade, but dont skip all of them cause he sometimes put lecture notes up late and you need to write a journal every Wednesday.

It's clear he actually enjoys sociology. His lectures may not be the most entertaining but he is very good and clear about what He's teaching. Not much homework at all and the tests cover exactly what he talks about. You don't necessarily even need to go to lecture to pass, but David is a great lecturer.

He has a super monotone voice and it makes it hard to pay attention. His powerpoints are very bland and poorly formatted. The test questions are overly wordy and rarely make a lick of sense. He also constantly makes tone-deaf comments on almost everything and is frankly annoying. I went to his class everyday and I can say it didn't help.

The thing about this class that's both awesome and incredibly frustrating at the same time is that I never went to class and still got an A. You don't really gain anything from the in-person lectures, as Schweingruber posts the PowerPoints online. Honestly, just do the homework and remember to take the quizzes and you'll do fine.

This class is super easy, and you almost have to try to not get an A. As long as you do the assignments you can get like 70% on the tests and still get an A. I only went to class once this semester and ended with a good grade. He is very opinionated, but just focus on the lecture slides and you will be fine.

Professor Schweingruber's class is really easy. All the assignments are worth a certain amount of points and you only need to get so many points for an A. I didn't even have to take my final exam. All the slides are online, so you don't really need to go to class.

All you have to do to get an A in this class is get 30/50 on all of the exams then complete all of the homework outside of class. many project opportunities that allow you to perform poorly on exams and still pass with an A. Take every chance you have to complete these assignments. Very easy course, the exams can be rough though, study a quizlet.

I went to class twice lol. attendance isn't mandatory to pass, but if you want an A or a B you should probably go. The exams focus pretty heavily on the reading (which I never did) and the lectures (which I never went to). Good professor who tries to make things as understandable as possible

Nothing is "required" so you have to do everything on the syllabus to get an A. All the notes are online so you don't need to go to class but it's helpful. If you make a study guide out of all his study questions in each powerpoint you will do fine
