not the best professor i've ever had .. he makes you read 4 novels and write papers on them, also his exams .. nothing to study from!! you just have to study your notes to make essays out of random questions he poses. Also he takes attendence and has "participation points" meaning you have to add something to his lecture if you want an A.

Makes some funny jokes, always relating to the current world and the subject of history. This is my fifth History class, first with him, and he makes learning this sometimes boring subject easy. Makes you read three books, relatively moderate for the department standards, and the papers are an easy grade.

You can really tell that Prof. Snyder loves what he teaches! I was engaged in every discussion, he made every topic fun and related it to events that students could understand better. I highly suggest taking this class with this professor!

ok the downside first, he assigns four readings all of which are kinda depressing and he wants you to read his thick foner book. The upside, he is a very good speaker and gets his point across, does a great job teaching new ideas and thoughs and i didn't take notes or read the foner book, even though it was interesting, and passed with a b :-D

Nice prof, interesting lectures. Hard to take notes sometimes, since he doesn't slow down. For this class we had to read 3 really hard books and write papers, plus the book reading. I would recommend this class if you like a lot of reading.

Awesome professor! He really knows what he is talking about. He makes history really interesting for those who think it is boring. He is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You do lots of reading for this class, but it is well worth it! I learned alot from him : )

Great Professor! His lectures are interesting and he gives a new prespective of world history. Tests are over the major concepts that we talk about and read about in the lectures...he doesn't give questions to try to trick students. As long as you are able to understand the overall themes you'll be fine.

Professor Snyder is an incredible educator. He opened my eyes to a lot of things and has given me a new narrative of world history through the eyes of the world political economy. You will learn so much and wish that the class did not end! Come to class and read and you'll be fine. I hope to have him again!

Snyder is a really engaging prof, you can tell he's passionate about what he says. His lectures are interesting and easy to take notes on. Is always open for discussion in class and will push a lecture over to the next class to accommodate any issues you may bring up. He also likes old movies so you get to see clips in class, which I really liked.

I Loved this class and the professor!! He is amazing and gives a refreshing perspective of world events! I learned so much! You read 2 books and write two 6 pagers and u have a midterm and final in essay format with 15 m.c...make sure you read for the multiple choice AND come to class bc essays Qs are based on in class discussion, not really book.

Interesting, keeps your attention. Sometimes goes off topic but always lets you know when he's saying something important to the class so you can start listening carefully again. Stay with his reading assignments, they aren't hard at all, just stay on time. Would take again, good prof.
