Comment:

Great notes in class, do the homeworks and show up to class, will do good. The tests come out of no where, so GOOD LUCK. BUT the key is that the final exam will replace your lowest test score and will count, of course, as your final exam grade. Thing is the final is a compilation of all your previous tests. Easy A on the final, bumps your grade.

I don't know where to start, I knew math before I attended this guy's class, he's not just bad at explaining, he gets inside your head to ruin the information about math you already have. If you know math, or just a little bit of math... Don't attend his class or you will lose everything inside your skull. Guaranteed. but he's a nice guy.

Learned more from this Prof in one semester than I learned from the others that I had in the last three semesters. If you want to pass the FE Exam, Stevens is a must!!!

great teacher. any clouds of calculus you have he will cure. expect the worst on the tests. very hard misleading tests. pay attention, do the hw and you'll be good. no surprises here

He knows his stuff but he goes a little fast so if you don't know what hes talking about it is easy to get lost. He will help you out whenever you ask for it. The tests are hard but his scale helps out.

He is an ok guy and when you see his gading sale you'll think the class is easy but dont be fooled. the lectures are easy enough to follow but his tests are tricky to say the least, he throws curve balls at you need to do alot of work to get the problems to a point where you can solve them, you'll need all the time given on the tests.

I've never been a good math student, but Stevens explained and explained and explained!! Because of his help in his office hours and his encouragement to work hard on my own, I was able to put things together in the end and wound up with a C! Thank you for your help Prof Stevens! I now feel I can be successful in any math course at WIT!!

Learned so much math from this guy!! Wish I could take him again, but doesn't fit my schedule this semester. Do the problems along with him in class, do the HW assignments, and you'll be amazed at your progress in math.

His lectures can be a little tedious; he explains a lot in a little time, and doesn't always explain what he's doing now. You *HAVE* to pay attention in the lectures to keep up. If you run into trouble on the homework, just bring it to him, and he'll help you figure out what mistakes you're making, and show you how to avoid them. Tests are *INSANE*

He is very challenging, but the information that is presented in his precalculus course allowed me to breeze through Calculus I with a B+. To succeed in the math courses at WIT, you need a solid foundation - - Stevens is the best at provides that!!

As you can see, people are widely split on this teacher. To be honest, I think half of my class probably failed or dropped out. On the other hand, he grades on a curve where 40% passes, and though his tests are hard, they are not tricks. He is very good at explaining every step of the problems and does lots of examples. I worked hard and got a 98.

When people say horrible Professor, it is so true. you go to him and ask what you need to know for the tests and he says classwork and homework. you get a tutor and do both of them correctly and you will still fail his tests. the worst part is that it doesn't bother him that at least 20 out of 26 kids a semester drop out of his class

he is the worst teacher. good luck learning anything in his class. also he makes the hardest tests just to prove how smart he is. he doesnt care about the class. also if you have a two hour class to take a test be prepared cause he's only giving you 50mins to do it. he announced that after 40mins into our first test so nobody finished

tricky professor- good teacher but you can think you understand evrething he throws at u until test day--HARDEST TESTS EVERRRRRRRR!!!!!-- sometimes i wonder if he could pass his own tests- the coarse is passable.... but good luck-

Stevens is a very smart man. He knows the material he is teaching extremely well. I did poorly in his class but mainly because I skipped too many classes. His tests are EXTREMELY difficult. you really need to know your stuff and he takes lots of points of for little things like not simplifying compeltely. He will go out of his way to help you learn

Stevens explains a lot and he is GREAT at answering questions and going over stuff after class (both of which you will need). He is hard. The tests are insane. You need to know exactly what you are doing because the tests are NOT straight forward. You really need to look at the problems and expect that he is going to hide something.

Hes a great teacher and I ended up getting an 'A' while skipping the final. Show up to class every day, pay attention, take notes, do his homework as assigned, redo homework before tests, and you will get a B or greater. If you are struggling, ask for help, hes very lenient. IMO, if you fail, it's your fault, not his. BEST MATH TEACHER AT WENTWORTH
