Great teacher, had him twice due to his great notes and explanations of content. Midterm and Final exam not too challenging as long as you follow his outlines. Great prof, would recommend to anyone looking for a not too hard course with interesting content (Although, course is not a "easy" A course)

Great prof! Very knowledgeable and never lets his own views get in the way. Class is not mandatory and is usually overtaken by class discussion, which I found enjoyable. Tests draw heavily from the textbook. Study the entire chapters, including the supplementary biographies. Marks easy on the essay.

I can understand why some comment that he is boring, but you really need to have some interest and background knowledge in politics to enjoy the course.Otherwise, I strongly recommend David. He doesn't play favorites, he is very understanding and he is just a great teacher/person.

Mr. Winchester is great, he's got an obvious passion for what he teaches and embraces having different points of view in the class. He loves in class discussion but always has enough material just in case none happens. Very comprehensive teaching style and very approachable as well.

Took 100 and 111. Nice guy who is helpful when it comes to deadlines and doing alternative assignments for those who don't like presentations, just ask him. Lectures can be a bit dull and repetitive. His ideologies class is better as discussions are more in depth. Tests are very easy if you do the readings. He marks the paper a bit harder though.

took him for both poli sci 100/110 in the same term, by far my fav prof i've had at Cap. Lectures were interesting and he drew you into the subject by making it the students' lecture, not just him babbling on. I didn't know anything of Poli sci courses, and he certainly grabbed my attention. Easy m/t, easy final, easy assignments..TAKE HIM!!!

I got an A+ putting in a reasonable amount of work. I didn't do all the readings. But I do have a background in this material, and I write really good essays. You'll only do poorly if you don't show up to class and don't do any readings. He's pretty interesting and lets class out early a lot. I liked him.

This particular course was challenging, however he made it very interesting. His test are hard if you havent kept up with the reading and I recommend you take him if you are a poli sci buff. He was great fun!

David was the best prof I had a Cap. He's easy to talk to, his paper topics are straightforward if a little dull. However, he'll let you pick your own topic if you'd prefer. His marking is easy. I got two A's in 2 classes. Take him if you want to learn about Pol Sci (and get a GPA boost!)

Winchester's alright. He's really good on assignments, both in marking & if you need a little extra time to write your paper. Just make sure you understand the general concepts and you'll do well on exams (one guy in my class never read any texts and still pulled out an A!). Although the class lectures can really drag on sometimes...

He let one know it all student conduct every class! Winchester is a complete push over who lets aggressive students walk all over him. His lectures were boring at best. good teacher good teachign style and course layout. one knock on him is that he appears to over simplify things in class. this makes him seem weak with regard to the material however speaking with him afer class generally disproves this.
