This was a really weird class. She gave her own definition to words that we could not find elsewhere. Its almost like there were no right awnsers. No matter what, she disagreed. One time we had a take home test and everyone still failed. Not even googling the questions could land you with an answer she agreed with. Really, really bizarre.

Deb is a tough grader however if you complete all the assignments with good effort you do fairly well. I advise to have her help you with your paper she will give you a good grade if she sees you put in effort. Read the textbook, study for midterm and final. Do the extra credit assignment! I took intercultural communications with her.

Deb is a really nice person. She is funny and thoughtful. However, this class is hell. Lectures are boring and abstract. She is an EXTREMELY harsh grader. Dont plan on doing well on any of the essays. Exams are the same story. I really dont understand why such a useless class is SO difficult. I can easily say that most of the class failed.

Deb is pompous and completely unclear in what she is looking for in assignments. She would re-word students answers to her lecture questions to make them feel dumb and wrong. Laughed in my face and packed up her bag in the middle of me asking her to explain why she gave me a barely passing grade on a paper. Avoid her, wish I had.

Deb is one of the best professors I've had at this school, she expects quality work, but she is very understanding and helpful if you approach her after class! Also, send her your rough drafts and she'll help you edit them! Really not bad if you put in the effort, really enjoyed this class as Event Planning is her real life job outside of education

Deb Geisler is the worst professor I have ever had in my entire life. She needs to validate her pointless existence by taking what should be a simple straightforward class and turning it into the most annoyingly difficult course you will ever take. You can not please her and you will get a bad grade. RIP to my GPA.

I actually really like Geisler. I enjoyed the heck out of her class, but I'm already a bit of a law geek. She's pretty funny, and has a very snark-y and warped sense of humor. Pretty fair grader. Doesn't rely overly heavily on the books - some other CJN professors could learn something. Geiser isn't bad. Good class.

An extremely nice woman. If you do your papers early she will correct your rough drafts and you'll get an A on them. She's extremely helpful, funny, knowledgeable, and makes a boring topic somewhat interesting. Don't be as intimidated as this site makes her out to be. She's very respectable and very nice.

Everyone told me to avoid her, but now that I have her, I think she's great! She is so knowledgeable about her topic, and she keeps her lectures interesting. She is tough, but she's very fair and if you go to her for help, she'll gladly help her. Just take her class seriously and treat her with respect, and she'll give you respect in return.

I practically majored in Deb and, yes, she does ROCK! Pay attention, due the work, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, and you'll be fine. She's got a twisted sense of humor. Don't take the tough facade too seriously, underneath it she's a sweetheart. She genuinely cares about her students and education in general.
