Tests are kind of hard, but Debbie always is available. She gives you her cell phone number so you can call her with questions. You have to go to class and do the homework, because she calls on random people to say what they got for each question. She gives you an outline for the notes and you follow along with her in lecture. Service is required

This class was just really boring in general but is a requirement for business students. Debbie was a really good teacher and you could tell she really cares about her students. However, she definitely favors the accounting chapter because that's the class she normally teaches. It was also very obvious when she didn't like other fields.

Debbie is fine, but her class is terrible! This was the hardest course I've ever taken. Be prepared to pay attention in class and complete every homework problem, because even though she reviews the homework in class, tests are awful. GPA Killer.

Other teachers have tests avgs in the low 70's, but our first test avg. was 93%. She really teaches you the material, but the homework can sometimes seem really hard or long, but she's a lenient grader on tests. Overall, the BEST option if you want a decent GPA. Lectures can be boring, and she goes into detail at first and rushes near the end.

Not the best but not the worst. The first few chapters she went over super in depth but towards the end of the semester she is definitely rushing. Spends way too much time going into detail about stuff that doesn't matter. Basically her lectures are okay but I learned more going over the textbook by myself.

Debbie is a great teacher, Accounting is my major and from what I have heard and from experience know that you will come out of the class with more information than you would with any other teacher here. Her tests may be a tad tougher than anyone else's, but she make it incredibly clear what will be on the tests. Her office hours really help! TAKE!

Do the homework problems, pay attention, and study, then you should be fine! Debbie is seriously an angel and she's a great teacher, very fair, very organized. Also, you definitely need the textbook! I really enjoyed her class!

The homework by no means is any preparation for the tests. The tests are much more difficult than the homework. Also for the final she SPEEDS through the last chapters and it's very difficult. I did not enjoy her class at all. I can't recommend taking her class at all.

I had Barbeau for BIZ 100. Good professor, really cares about her students. This is an easy class, she basically gives you the notes. She also let me use her as a contact for an internship.

She was good up until the last exam. She rushed through the last 3 chapters and made that most of the final exam. Although none of her tests were easy, the final was way too hard and uncalled for. Luckily, she gave participation & service hour points in her class.

SHE HAS PUZZLES! Last 3 chapters were not necessary. Rushed through them all within a week... and then made most of that her final. Other than that, tests are alright-know everything on notes sheet. By the end of this class you'll never want to hear tootsie roll or Hershey again. You'll understand if you take the class. Overall study alot = :(

Thorough instructor until the after exam 3. After that, she rushes through 3 chapters and expects you to master it by the final. No curve, although she basically gives away 90 points by making you do 4 service hours (40pts) and participating in class(50pts). Must do homework to succeed. Tests are overload, even if you are confident going to do well

Debbie's tests are much more difficult than the homework assigned. Class time feels like a race to cover as much material as humanely possible, to the loss of the students. Is not accessible during office hours. Would not recommend. Was excited for accounting before the course, I am now disenchanted.

Great professor! Very clear and knowledgeable about the subject and will go out of her way to help you succeed. You have to go to class and do ALL the homework in order to understand the material and do well on the tests. She challenges you but it is a great course!

She is the best best best teacher I have ever ever had!!! Not only a fantastic accounting professional but also a caring and very kind teacher who wants to be friends with her students. I strongly recommend her! If you want to be successful in accounting field, please get started with Debbie!

Be prepared to know A LOT for tests. She explains everything well, but when it comes to tests, it's overload. Her multiple choice can also be hard so beware. If you do the homework, that really helps and she is always open to seeing people during office hours. Review sessions aren't the best except before the final when she lets you see your tests.

Barbeau was great. I struggled a little in the beginning since it was my first acct class, but quickly learned that she is one of the most approachable and accessible teachers I've ever had. Genuinely interested in her students success. Her tests are tough but if you read, do homework, and take advantage of all the tools she offers you'll be fine
