Comment:
Overall, Dr. Black is an intelligent professor. However, I had a bit of a problem with her inability to accept the class' perspectives as being as good as her own. Really, anything anyone said about a piece of literature would be immediately shot down, with her opinions about the text taking precedence. To me, this is no way to teach literature.

she grades pretty easy but that is the only good point. Im not sure anything worthwile ever happend in class. Much busy work, dont try to write anything too insigtful, its about the only way to get a bad grade. (sorry Debra, but its true)

I thought that she was a very good teacher. There is a lot of busy work and class discussions are really boring, but other than that she's very helpful and a good teacher to have.

Class discussions are mundane and she doesn't really teach. Workload is massive, although she grades very easily. Not a challenging course at all.

At times it seemed that the class was explaining things to her. If you have to take an early class, this is the one, because passing out will make her rambling easier to take.

I can't complain about having a ridiculously easy class. Her lectures are pretty stupid but if you schedule it early enough you'll never remember them anyways. My biggest objection is that the syllabus (despite being incredibly detailed) never makes it clear what she wants. Easy B or A.

it's hard to believe that it was an honors class, due to the fact that the teacher had no idea what she was saying most of the time. essay topics unclear but usually easy, virtually no homework, grade very negotiable at end of semester, lectures unbelievably inane, but attendance mandatory.

Just go to class and put up with her rambling. Her essay topics can vague and unclear, but it is a easy B, and if you try a big ol' A.

GREAT teacher, very nice and helpful, even funny at times. Most essays are standard fare English 101 essays, but some are quite interesting.

This teacher sucks! She has no idea what the hell she is talking about, and rambles on for what seems to be hours.
