Professor Freedman was hands down the best professor I had at Brooklyn College. She cares so much about the students that she calls you if you miss a couple of days of class. She's hilarious also! I enjoyed coming to every class and listening to her speak. If you are a shy person you wont be after taking this class. She makes it fun.

Professor Freedman is an amazing speech professor. Before her class, I was terrified to speak in front of people. She takes time getting the class comfortable with group activities and she usually has the class sit in a circle, You get a few speeches assigned, some partnered and some by yourself but they're not hard. She is very caring, TAKE HER!

I thought I would hate the class bec. it's geared towards people who aren't from the US, but I actually learned a lot. Put in effort & prepare, when you give a speech & you sound like you just made it up you will get a bad grade. My speech improved through this class & so did my self-confidence. A little boring at times but worth it.

Before taking this class, I was scared to talk because of my accent and the clearity of my English. However, after taking this class, I love it. I am still taking it right now. The Professor is helpful, nice and her teaching style is supper. She records our presentation, then show them to us in order to let us discover our own mistakes.
