You had to essentially teach yourself everything in the textbook. The only way to see if you know what you are doing is to hand in the homework and see if you failed or not. The solutions to practice problems are never posted, so you can't even know if you did a proof right. Very disappointing for a course I was initially very excited for.

Dr. Haskell is without a doubt one of the best profs I've had the privilege to learn from. She is incredibly intelligent and knowledgable about mathematics, and what's more is that she is extraordinarily compassionate and genuinely wants her students to succeed, going above and beyond to ensure her students understand concepts.

Haskell is very knowledgeable in mathematics. With that said, her lectures were confusing at times and did not cover what we needed to know for the exams. She is helpful at her office hours though,

DEIRDRE is a goddess of the mathematical kind! She is respectful and encourages a higher level of thinking than what most people expect. She is extremely bright and passionate! She made math 1c03, one of my favourite courses! (University professors are here to present information and not hold your hand through every test or exam like elementary)

This prof is brilliant, she's smart as hell and makes you understand the basic concepts before really getting into the hard stuff. One problem is that the practise midterms are way easier than the actual ones so watch out with your confidence levels

When I went to her office hours to ask for clarification on a topic and she insisted that I go to ANY other TA because she didn't feel like talking to me. Isn't providing assistance what office hours are for? Not just being brushed off and asked to go somewhere else?

Overall, she was okay. Brilliant lady, lectures a little boring at times, test and exam were fair, assignments crazy hard - only doable when working in groups. Overall she really pushed for working with others and getting help. Do that and you're fine

I really enjoyed Professor Haskell as a teacher. I think especially for 2R03, you need to use your resources effectively to do well, and you need to study hard. She is extrememely helpful and knowledgable and I think people should see this side in her. It's easy to blame a challenging course on the prof. It's most likely the students fault

I dont know where the negative comments are coming from. She is really nice lady, she sits down with students and spends so much time helping them with course selection and advice. I found her flexible and accomodating and she was never ever rude or sarcastic or arrogant. She is more fair than most other profs teaching math 2R03
