Difficulty level was through the roof with no grading curve. I've done worse in other classes and received a better grade. The class was basically impossible.

I talked to him about his class. He mentioned that the whole chemisty dept. tries to make sure that A students get A's and B students get B's and so forth. He does have extremely hard tests, but they are heavily curved thus the curve does a good job weeding out some. He is very approachable, and not always right with his math on practice tests

His class is sometimes hard, but the main killer is the TA. If you get the wrong one, you WILL get screwed on a lot of points. Be sure to get the right one.

He is a great guy. I would never attack his character. But he is very hard to understand and his tests are quite hard. It is already a demanding class, but with him it is crazy hard. Sometimes we are thrown stuff on a test that we have never seen before. One good thing is that I hear heis very willing to help if you go talk to him.

Chem 105 is hard no matter who you take it from. It's a 4 credit science class. you're gonna study a lot for an a. If you read before lecture Dr. Eatough makes a lot more since. Don' be afraid to ask questions-i thought he did a good job answering them. I also like his experiments. He's a very approachable guy. grading is fair and wel rounded.

Lets face it Chem 105 from any teacher will be hard. He does jump around alot, but hes not much worse than any other teacher. 105 is a weeding class to get rid of all the slackers. Don't be discouraged! Its really all about your TA so find a good one and stick with it!

Good man, not a good teacher. I wouldn't take him. He will tell you one thing and do another, but I don't think he does it on purpose.

THIS CLASS WAS CAKE COMPARED TO WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK. THIS WAS MY FIRST CHEM CLASS IN 7 YEARS. I RARELY WENT TO LECTURE AFTER THE 1ST EXAM AND STILL GOT AN A-. THERE IS NO ASSIGNED HW, JUST QUIZZES AND TESTS. NOT GUNNA LIE HE USUALLY DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, BUT WHAT CHEM TEACHER DOES? STUDY HARD ON YOUR OWN FROM THE BOOK AND PAST TESTS...THAT'S ALL.

This class was quite intersting, but the lectures were not helpful. His lectures did nothing to help your grade improve because he didn't teach a whole lot in class. It all depends on your TA and how much work your willing to put in outside of class.

Professer Eatough is an interesting person, but a terrible teacher. His teaching has no impact on how you do in the class. It all depends on how good your TA is, and how hard you study outside of class. If you want a good laugh-or a good explosion, attend the lectures. Other than that, they aren't worth much.

Frustrating. Definitely go to lectures, but don't always expect to actually learn anything. Read the book and study old tests and quizzes. Find a good TA and a study group. Tests are random and unpredictable. He tests on things that haven't been taught yet. No matter what, it's hard, but I wish I took a different teacher...

This man is nice and all, but he should stick to his research and forget about teaching, worst teacher I have ever had, he is very careless, test you on things you havent been taught, or out of the unit he said you are going to be tested on, he is a wild card, and doesnt explain anything, you have to learn everything on your own.

Just for your comparison: I'm a freshman, I got a 1260 on SAT and a 3.75 GPA in HS. Eatough is a very nice and respectful guy. If you haven't studied the text beforehand, it's not worth going to lecture. Study and know last year's test/quizzes online. If you don't like your recitation leader go to a different one.

Rough class. Expect it to be hard from any teacher. Delbert just isn't clear. All other teachers will probably be just as hard, but I would still take it from them. Nice guy but needs to be more organized.

He is a nice guy and tries hard, but he repeats some things over and over, and some things he never even mentions. Nothing is clear, lecture time is a waste, and the tests are completely unexpected and hard to study for. You never know what's going to be on them--most of it is stuff he has never even mentioned.
