I came into her class hating Canadian history, and by the end of it I want to major in Canadian Studies. Dr. Stanley is one of the most amazing profs I have met. She is ALWAYS in her office, working on marking things and organizing events around campus. Her assignments are always fairly easy and she marks very fairly. I highly recommend her class.

Very helpful and willing help with her assignments and very generous in extensions. If you are a slacker she can tell and of you arn't she knows! Try and you'll be a favorite if not then you won't be. The society is helpful and interesting. A great course and she if full of knowledge, and can go off on a tangent because of it.

Awesome prof! She cares a lot about her work and her students. Dr. Stanley makes class really interesting and knows her facts. She respects people who do their work well, and really tries to help people having trouble with the material. I've taken ALL of her classes and enjoyed every one of them!!

Good teacher:-) She really enjoys Canadian History and you can tell. Sometimes the classes can seem a little boring at times..you take A LOT OF NOTES! But the homework is just like high school... and projects and stuff! Not a bad class:-)

This professor is extremely helpful and very nice. Some of her assignments are pretty hard though, like your in an english class rather than history. Other than that, she is a good marker and I would take a class from her again.

is she starting to lose her mind? she is an easy marker and plays favourites. she winks at the favourite students in class to make them speak out in class. how gay is that? indeed, she is helpful. but she pushes her wing-sided views on you as she is religious, old, forgetful, and smothering. she doesn't know her boundaries. she's unprofessional

If you are not a favorite of hers, look out! She is a very nice lady who really knows her stuff as a professor of Canadian Studies. However, in her advanced courses open to majors or minors in Canadian Studies, you have to wonder, what am I learning? It does not seem like much.

Not overly professional, as she does play favourites. Seems to be too busy to help those students who really need it, and it is always for what she wants to do, and does not base her help on the needs/interests of students.

I think Della must be the best person in the world to teach Canadian Studies. She oozes Canada. It's impossible not to get into her lectures, even if they're about stuff one usually finds uninteresting. She nitpicks a bit on the marks, though. Watch your Grammar. It is good to really know your topic before engaging her in a conversation in class.
