Sue is perhaps the best professor I have ever had. She pushes her students to become the best writers they can be, while remaining tough and fair. Sue is an incredibly hard professor and you'll love her for it - after the class is over. She has made me such a better writer than I was before I went into her class. She will push you to be better. Her lectures are fun and easy to follow. You must do the readings though. This class requires a lot of engagement from the student.

Sue is a hard professor but you always feel like it's a rewarding experience to take her classes. She lectures often but when there is a discussion in class, it takes a whole hour and a half. She loves puns and mentions Ronald Reagan very often. She's also very open to discuss issues academically with those who challenger her.

Overall, a nice class. KEEP UP WITH THE READINGS. YOU MUST RELY ENTIRELY ON THE READINGS FOR THE EXAMS. She is a VERY fair grader, but you need to read the material to get A's on the exams. A funny teacher who relies mostly on lecture, I would recommend her to anyone asking.

This class was very challenging, both academically, and simply trying to understand all the text that is assigned. Prof Hulett lectures almost every class, but she doesn't break down the text assigned to have read, and her lectures were hard for me to follow and take notes on. Auditory learners will have an easier time.

She is a great prof. who tries to make this intro. level class as in-depth and as fun as possible. In terms of grading, I found her to be a very fair and moderate grader. Plus, she made the final optional! It pays to do your work so you can skip a final.
