Dr. White is by far the most amazing teacher I've had. I have hated reading and writing my whole life, but she motivated me to start reading more for enjoyment and even helped with my writing skills significantly. She is an amazing teacher and will do anything to help you. I took her hybrid class, so class was mandatory but it wasn't bad at all.

She was an alright teacher. I took her as a hybrid class and only met with her in class once a week. Very monotone and didn't really get excited about much. There are 4 papers, one of them counting as your final and there's a discussion post every week.

Taken over the summer. The length of the readings is ridiculous. Quiz & 250 word post/week. Sometimes quizzes are unlimited time. Sometimes 10 questions in 10 mins. Really bad for someone who spark notes as they take the quiz. It's possible to get an A without reading. Midterm and finals consist of quotes that are easily found online (no lockdown).

Basically an easy class until the end. The final is much more challenging than any of the other work and brought my grade down. She was unwilling to bump my 89.89 at the end of the semester.

During the summer, 400 weekly Discussion Board posts nearly killed me. Not a bad class if you're able to write 400 words easily every week. Tests and quizzes are easy. YOU NEED THE TEXTBOOKS

She wants you to read more hours a week than people even have time. Some quizzes you are only given 10 minutes . If you like to read take her, if not stay away. Also there is no extra credit, she will not adjust any grades. Exams are pretty easy

TAKE HER CLASS. I'm an Applied Arts major and absolutely hate english classes, but I loved hers. She definitely isn't an easy A as in you can show up only to the final and pass. She has a charismatic personality and invests herself into the work her students are doing, especially towards the end of the semester Talk to her about cats to be friendly

I thoroughly enjoyed Professor White's online class. Sure there is a decent amount of reading, but welcome to being an English major. She graded fairly, although some of her feedback was a little generic. Quizzes, discussions, translations, and explications were all easy as long as you did the required reading.

We "read" one book and had a paper due relating to the book once a week for 6 weeks. The paper was very easy and didn't take longer than 2 hours because you were relating the book back to your life. Final project is a 5-7 page research paper with a video presentation. She gives you tons of class time to basically do the final project in class.

Professor White truly cares about her students and helps with questions as much as possible. There are many papers but what do you expect from an English course? She gives plenty of time to write the papers, so it's easy to stay on top of things. I would recommend taking this course as hybrid because you write the papers outside of class anyways.

She is very friendly; however, she never gives me above a 90 on ANYTHING. Her feedback tells me my work was great, yet when I work my butt off she gives me a B on my papers.

She is a nice lady, but not the best when it comes to directions. A lot of the work is on your own time and grading, in my opinion, isn't the best.

I loved Professor White as a person, and as a professor. I took her for honors credit, and the workload wasn't terrible. You have 4 responses (if you just do them you get an A. Easy grader for those) 3 critiques (not so easy) and a big project that she gives you time in class to work on. Don't miss more than 2 classes and you'll be fine!

The online class is bearable but to say the least she isn't clear about what volume book you're reading in and isn't very clear with instructions. Each week you will have one or two 5 question quizzes and a 200 word min. discussion post. It is impossible to get 100% on your discussions and I don't believe she grades them fairly. Be ready to read!!!

This is a good class to take the discussion post corresponded to the work. The test were what was expected. The overall grading was in line with what you would expect for a online class.

Denise White is a wonderful professor. She is very passionate about what she teaches, and though she isn't as boisterous in energy as someone with these characteristics, she's funny from time to time. She cares about the student. Give her respect. Coming to class is not mandatory, but it helps. Read and you'll do fine. 5 question quizzes 4 readings

Do you want an A? If so, think carefully. Plenty of class time to work on essays. Does tend to say offensive things about white Americans as well as police and military. Also, don't expect to get good grades on the essays unless you are filled with angst. If you are a well adjusted student and don't put blame on others, you might not do well.

THeh online class is easy if you read sparknotes or a summary. People who don't get an A don't even try. I took it over the summer and an A was easily attainable with minimum effort.

This class took over my life! It is only a 2000 level class, but had more work than my 4000 level classes. 2 Translation exercises, 2 explications, 2 papers for final exam, tests, quizzes, tons of reading, & discussion posts. Some weeks there would be 4 quizzes , along with a discussion posts over the reading. Assignments are rarely ever clear.
