AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Seriously tho, way too much work for a 200 level theology class. Pop Quizzes, FIVE 30 point quizzes (MC/SA), midterm, final, and TWO 5-pg papers, attendance is taken. If you know the new test back and front take this, if you don't be prepared to work, or get a bad grade. his lectures are dry and monotone and a 93 is an A now.

Lectures are very unclear and scattered. There are a couple quizzes, 2 papers, and a midterm and final. He grades pretty easy on the papers. Tests are made up of direct quotes from the Bible, and you don't know which one he'll choose which makes his tests difficult.

He knows what he is talking about, but it can be pretty boring at times. He is super sweet and really helpful. The quizzes are really simple and he posts his own notes online. Papers are graded easily too.

I was expecting a boring class, but ended up changing my major to theology because of Fr. Hamm. He was excited and enthusiastic about the topic, and it motivated me to continue studying theology.

Really has a thorough understanding of the material, lectures go fast but if you keep up on the reading you should be fine. Like his sense of humor. Best for students with an interest in theology. I loved his class.

Horrible horrible teacher. Most boring class I have ever been to. Doesn't really clarify anything for tests in class. Papers are easy but the midterm and final are impossible. Hands down one of the worst teachers on campus.

Great teacher. Explains things very well, doesn't assume any prior knowledge and isn't condescending like some of the other theology teachers. The two 5-page papers are not difficult at all and the quizzes are quite fair. Fr. Hamm's grading scale is the only drawback. An A is 93, a B is 83...

I thought this class was interesting. It was like having your grandpa teach the class. He lectures in a story-telling way, so I understood things better. He simplifies everything. Also he has online quizzes - they're great!

just talks the whole time during class...but he's a cute old man that wears turtlenecks and sweater-vests. easy paper grader, but tougher tests. he expects students to know old testament, even though the class is new testament. class is boring, but it goes by fast! takes attendance daily.

The most boring class I've experienced. Not a very engaging professor. Difficult to relate to if not a Christian student, as the professor presupposes everyone has some understanding of the bible. Online quizes, 2 papers, EASY GRADER. Can get an A with little studying before midterm and final.
