I loved having Dr. Hickey! PLS101 can be pretty boring, but he kept lectures interesting by joking around and telling stories. He knows his stuff so that helps. No homework, just 3 test. As long as you study, you should be fine. Some questions on the test are tricky.

Only points in the entire class were three exams. He loves what he does but sometimes goes in random directions with his lecture. I learned more about his time at college in Texas than I needed to.

Dr. Hickey is pretty funny and does his best to make this boring subject interesting. His tests seem to come straight from lectures and can be pretty tricky. The essay topics are usually easy to figure out.

Dr. HIckey is the nicest guy and treats all students fairly. His tests are hard, you pretty much have to memorize everything and there's a paper, but overall, not a bad class. I actually looked forward to going b/c he's funny and does great impressions of presidents. He also knows alot.

Dr. Hickey is a really nice guy and likes to tell lots of funny stories about his life and political figures. He gives good study guides for the tests, but the tests are still fairly hard, with some tricky questions. Must read all the book material and the notes from lecture. But overall fun clas

Dr. Hickey is one of the greatest teachers to take notes from his lectures.He speaks in outline-form.His tests are very hard, becuase you pretty much have to memorize everything you read/learned that *could* be on the test. He is such an awesome person!

Interested in Taiwan or China? If so, take this class. He's done a lot of work on Chinese policy and stuff, likes to tell stories... As for PLS, he knows what he's talking about. Kinda boring- mostly stuff you learned in HS.

He's really funny, he doesn't even talk about PLS, I could tell you more about his family and where he has lived over his life. He's really nice, but the tests are kinda tricky, there always seem to be 2 answers that could work. It could have been worse
