Very good professor, its too bad that more students would stop talking in his class so he can get to the material. I know sometimes he does go off on tangents, but the stuff is interesting and his examples do help explain the theory. He shouldn't have to put up with immature students.

Best 211 moment: Horton gave an incorrect trend in his lecture notes but it ended up fooling him because he spent 5 minutes explaining why it was correct. When he was made aware of this, he thought for a moment and could offer no argument in favour for the right trend. Good work, old chap.

"Something's wonky!". There's definitely something "wonky" about him. Overall an ok prof. Teaches a boring subject. Gave us an easy midterm, really hard final.

Dr. Horton is the best one on one prof in the department. He cares about students and will stop his day to work out a problem with you. He is extremely bright and is sharp all the time.

funniest moment of my undergrad: when Horton was talking about diatomic molecules-he said something like "when two litiums come together, I guess it would be called dilithium" then he giggled and said with glee "just like in Star Trek"

Oh dear Dr. Horton we unworthy *ahem* biology/life sci students humbly apologize for wasting your precious time with our ineptitude. How dare we. Sometimes you have to teach a general 1st year course, suck it up man!

He may not be a bad teacher, but he throws temper tantrums! That cannot be denied!!! He seems stressed out all the time, and the environment in the class sucks.
