Despina is an awful teacher. Maybe she was good years ago but she does nothing but drone for hours. ALWAYS LATE. CLUELESS. They removed her from her position after semester 1 this year due to complaints / her declining health. Can be super funny at times but I literally had to teach this course to myself. Easy A because she's a lazy test writer.

Absolutely excellent instructor. I took two courses with her through the Law Clerk program offered by Fanshawe College (I believe it was around 2012 year). Wonderful teacher - clear and concise. Does NOT put up with tomfoolery. Strict and to the point instruction. Clear on her expectations. Did I mention her bright orange crocs? Awesome.

Despina is an excellent prof and she really instills an understanding of the subject. She tells you what to expect on your tests and gives a very thourgh review that may be more then only one class. She is a part time judge and deals in the subject quite often so your learning from experience.

Not a great teacher, really. She practically gives you the answers to tests, so it's up to you to study the material and make sure you actually know it. So in that way she's good. She gets friendlier as the course progresses, and does have a sense of humour. She definitely knows what she's talking about.

Despina teaches contract law, advocacy and criminal law in the law clerk program. She gets nicer as you get closer to the end of the program. Go to class and it is almost impossible to get an A because she flat out tells you what is testable material!

Doing well in this class is easy. All you have to do is show up and take notes. Under her frightening appearance is a truly kind person.
