Latimer is always willing to help students out and strives to be easily accessible. The class I took with him was online and I do recommend watching all the lectures unless you're a chemistry wiz. As long as you somewhat pay attention to the lectures and do the practice quizzes, it's a fairly easy class.

He is a very caring professor who treats students with respect. He's available whenever students have questions. He provides a very good collection of online quizzes which helped so much with the midterm and final. Textbook is not required, but it's still quite helpful if you can afford one or borrow one from the library. I really like his class!

Really nice guy, but clearly not interested in what he's teaching in Chem and society. If you don't have a chemistry background, this class will be extremely difficult. I didn't and I found it very hard. He assumes everyone knows what he's talking about and skims over things. Very fast paced.Get the textbook even though its "reccomended"

Decent prof, very fast paced for student who don't have a chem background. Open book mid-term makes final very deceiving! Final was BRUTAL. 6 long answer questions with no options and very random questions that were not covered well in class. Presentation-related questions not from the best of the best as he stated they would be in class many times

Awesome to have as an organic lab instructor!! was very impressed! He is VERY laid back...doesn't make you nervous, no matter how many times you screw up he won't get mad. Lab exam is a piece of cake....thanks!! STRONGLY recommended!

I had Latimer for both Organic Lab and Chem and Society lecture. He is awesome and I learned more from him than anyone else here. He might seem short on time sometimes but thats because every single chem student in the university (not just his students) goes to him for help rather than their own prof....he is by far the best prof here.

Latimer is a mean man. Do not take anything with him. He doesn't want to be there - why ****him off by being there too? Truly unhelpful and mean-spirited in the lab. Expects you to understand things that aren't in the lab book, textbook or notes. I thought you were taking a year off?! GO HOME

I transferred in from another section who I hated. Latimer is great for lecture and for lab. Very helpful but won't just give you the answer - makes you work for it. Great prep course for the MCAT.
