I hate this lady so much. She is the worst professor at Towson. You would think since she is the head of the department she would be understanding, but she is not. Do not take her. I had an 89.8 in the class and she refused to round it. Not understanding, at all. Dont take her EVER for ANYTHING!!!! Worst ever!!

Comment:

She is extremely knowledgeable and an amazing writer who will push you and definitely teach you a lot. That being said, this is definitely a very stressful class and the way she structures it makes it even worse. She is very harsh and strict with her grading. It's doable, but you will have to work very hard for your grade.

Emanuel is a very bright teacher, she even wrote her own textbook! She really knows her stuff and she explains it pretty well and makes it easy for us newbies to learn. She lets you have a notecard for the exams, and she curves if she feels the questions were not adequate! Very fair professor. You have to study for this class.

She made a possibly horrible class interesting, and is extremely helpful and intelligent. You certainly have to work for your grade in any of her classes, but with her you will learn a lot. My writing has definitely improved from taking tech writing with her!

Dr. Emanuel is one of the most intelligent professors I've had thus far at Towson. The material can be difficult at times, but she explains it in a really helpful way. Read from the book if you have trouble understanding concepts and ALWAYS study for the exams!!

Dr. Emanuel is the most gifted professor I've had during my college career. She could probably make watching paint dry the most exciting and intriguing activity you've ever heard of. Don't rely on only your note card for tests and neglect studying, though. That's how people fail the course!

the absolute best teacher ive ever had. the material is hard, but i would take this class over and over again. shes so understanding, and explains everything in easy terms. shes funny, and gives little homeworks to help boost your grade up. she also lets you use a cheat sheet for the tests! i used the book A LOT.. you should buy it. TAKE HER!!

This class felt like the death of me. Extremely hard material, but she is so passionate about it that any questions you have she can explain ten diff ways until you get it. You get to use a notecard on exams which I found frustrating bc then you don't study. She is a good teacher though.

The subject matter is a little dry, but the teacher is very enjoyable and does her best to try to keep you interested. She allows 1 notecard for each ofthe 4 tests(final is cummulative). She wrote the book so she is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and will explain things multiple ways until the class understands. I would take her again!

You can tell that this professor has a lot of passion for the subject of hearing science. Very knowledgeable and helpful, and you can bring 1 note card to tests which is nice. Only problem with her is I feel like she could try to use more visual aids in her class to make it more interesting, because the subject can get a little dry and boring.

Magnificent Teacher!! She is such a bright, intelligent, and pleasant person. She explains the material very well. She gives the best examples. She speaks very nicely and communicates everything clearly. You do need to study for tests and type a notecard, yes she lets use a notecard for every test! She makes the class fun and interesting.

Dr.E is a gr8 teacher. the class is hard but if u actually come to class(!) u'll c that she explains the material well and she's funny! Tests r OK, few annoying questions but she is VERY fair! she throws out "bad" ?s and makes some ?s into "bonus/emit" which is cool bc it shows she cares enough to look thru the tests and c what evey1 got wrong.

Very nice teacher. Gives great examples and tries to make the material interesting (which it isn't) allows you a notecard for all your exams. Information is difficult but I always just squeezed it all onto the card. Some homework, no attendance. Overall very good teacher!
