she is the hardest teacher i ever had. she's very unfair in grading. i had several papers that i worked very hard on and she gave me D's on them. if you want to fail American Lit. then i suggest taking her. but if you want to pass then get another teacher. i would never want anyone to go through what i had to with her.

Mrs. Bach's class is very hard, but if you do the reading, come to class, and write all the papers it is not as bad as it seems. I think she just really wants her students to learn rather than just "Slide" on through. It is a class you have to work hard at if you want a good grade!

One needs a tough ego to endure her classes. She is critical of some students in the presence of others. Don't take it personally. The odds are slim that you will not make above a C in any of your papers. Don't drop! You will be able to make A's in other writing intensive classes as a result of having taken her.

Mrs. Bach seems like a very nice old lady, but she doesn't give offer much help with papers. Writing essays in American Lit. are very difficult, much more difficult than essays in 1010 and 1020, and I think she should be more willing to help her students.

The class was taught fairly well. She does know a whole lot about literature and wants her students to enjoy it like she does. Her test weren't very hard at all as long as you read the assigned readings you will do fine.

I had heard awful things about her b4 taking the class but nothing compared ot what she was really like, There was a paper that she had given us to look @ how she did something and I followed it xactly the way she did it and she still said I needed to look @ the handbook.. totally sucky teacher

I had American Masterpieces with Mrs. Bach. She was always helpful to anyone in my class who had a question. I made straight A's in that class, no problems at all. If you can write an essay, her class is easy. If you can't, you should probably retake 1010 and 1020.

I had 2 classes of hers, and i must say she put no effort into caring about the student. If you didnt do it *her* way, she didnt want to hear any "excuses" and she would just blow you off, instead of trying to help you get better at your mistakes. Awful cranky old lady

I had Mrs. Bach for American Masterpieces, and I have never had an easier time in a class. She had a fair ammount of quizzes, and her tests were easy if you read what you were supposed to. The writing was equally easy. If you're bad at essays, you get bad grades, period. I made straight A's. She's a nice person, too.
