BI 172 lab is boring no matter who teaches it b/c yo're mostly observing under the microscope.Dr. Brousseau is a great person overall but she can be unclear.Even though her quizzes are open notebook, you sometimes can't expect what will be on them;her lab practical is not bad but she may rush you between stations. She can be picky but she's relaxed

She's an excellent teacher. For the midterm she puts all the powerpoints online and studying from those gives you all the info you need. Exams are straight forward, and if you study you'll succeed. You must read the seminar papers to do well on the quizzes, that being said, they're all fairly interesting. Excellent teacher, eager to help

I loved this class, but I had a passion for Marine Science before I took it. It isn't easy, but if you read and take notes then it's hard to fail. Dr. Brousseau is a great teacher, she is really passionate about her subject and she knows her stuff! She's very clear, but don't be afraid to ask questions if you're lost.

I thought this class was unnecessarily hard and wouldn't suggest taking it if you're looking to fulfill the science requirement. I put a lot of effort into the class but found that she made it difficult to do well

Attention Bio majors! Do not take this class to fill your ecology block if you want an easy one!! her quizzes are just out of hand and it is impossible to do well on them. i study very hard, yet still she managed to put the only three things on there i did not know. she goes for tiny details!!!! beware

Kind of a tough class but an amazing teacher and truly passionate about teaching. She loves what she does and get you into a topic you never thought you would ever care about. Don't go in expecting to learn about dolphins...it's a marine science class where you go learn about how the oceans work! Not let's go have fun with animals!

Dr. Brousseau is awesome!! The class is a little time consuming because you have to take care of your fish, but if you like fish, take this class. You teach one 75 minute period, do a final presentation, small daily quizzes, and that's it!
