Dianne is awesome!!! She made me want to be a Classics major. Her classes are always interesting and she makes getting an A really easy. She is always willing to help if something is unclear. Anyone who doesn't do well has no excuses. Take a class with her and you won't regret it.

To begin with Diane is just a wonderful person. On top of that she is very knowledgeable in her area. She does what she can to keep everyone's interest by incorporating humor and class involvement. Diane is extremely approachable and willing to help out. Although she does test on specifics from the readings, overall they are not that hard

Diane is a rare professor in that she expects a lot from her students. To do well, you must attend class, do all the reading, and clearly be able to write essays on the exams. This is the first large lecture class at Western that has actually taught me something. Thank Zeus for Diane!!!!

TESTS ARE HARD!! She uses direct quotes out of the text and asks to interpret them for the tests. Tests are lengthy and extremely difficult. Power point slides are difficult to understand unless you go to class everyday. She does offer tons of extra credit though, she wants her students to succeed.

AWEFUL! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I studied my butt off for this class and still would get Ds on the tests, I AM NOT A D STUDENT! The tests are extremely hard and most of your grade is based on that....Even though she is a very nice lady, I dont recommend this class.

I was really looking forward to this class since I have taken CLST 260 with Byron. This however was not a good class, her tests were way to hard for a lecture class. You pretty much have to remember every single word you read for all of the works, which is over 8 books. She is a funny teacher but I would not take another class from her.

Her exams are really hard. The essays aren't bad because you can study for specific topics she covers in class. She does these worthless identifications though that are extremely ambiguous, don't include any names or clues at all, and are literally a sentence long. Unless you remember every word you read from every book (theres 5) you're screwed.

Diane is one of my favorite professor's at Western. Took this class because I took CLST 117 from her before. This class was harder than that, but Diane is ALWAYS willing to help you out. She is hilarious, and cares a lot about her students.

I love Diane! Not only did I have her this quarter for Greek Literature, but last quarter I had her for CLST 117. Her passion & enthusiasm for the subject matter is infectious. While she sometimes lacks clarity in her writing assignments, she will gladly explain what she expects if you simply as her! Fair tests & many extra credit opportunities!

Diane is such a great professor! I think I would've died in greek literature if I had any other professor, she made it so funny and understandable! This class isn't easy though, you need to read the books and go to all classes and study groups. Be ready for some good laughs! Hard work but really good class :) She offers extra credit too!

She's extremely nice and really funny. She goes over stuff quick, so you've got write fast, or bring your laptop! I felt the tests were a little too long for the 50 mins, but they're open notes. Even if you don't go great on the exams, she gives a ton of extra credit opportunities! Overall, decent class, but a little boring.

One of the best teachers at Western. Her material and tests are difficult, but you can bring as many notes as you want to the test. Also, she offers so much extra credit I had over 100% coming out of the class. As long as you take good notes and go to the extra credit, the class is a breeze. Ms. Johnson is really funny too.

Dian was awesome in every way! The class seemed really tough at first (her requiring us to read 4 pretty large books) but it turned out that you dont need to read them as long as you do the study guide. Most people in my class who put some effort in got an A. Diane is amazing! take her class!

I studied Latin and Greek with Diane as an undergraduate and she inspired me to go on to a graduate degree in archaeology. I now have my masters in classical archaeology and travel to Greece and Italy every summer. I am working on my Ph.D. And I never forget to send her a postcard. Diane changed my life.
