Diane Pugen is an amazing person; a bit different from others but she gets her point taken. Its much better to get advise from her when your one on one rather than as a group of people. She tends to be forgetful about assignments ie what needs to be in the sketchbook but besides that shes a great teacher who encourages us to go forward.

diane is super sweet, but i think it's time for her to retire. she's unclear with what she wants and never seems to be satisfied. critiques drag on way too long. she's a good teacher though, and gives great advice and tips.

Not a very good prof, she assigned way too much homework and acted like we only had one class. She would give us a portfolio review at the end of the term outside of class time and would have to wait for hours after our scheduled time.

she is very shady about the work that is due. She doesnt tell you so READ THE SYLLABUS AND ALL MODUALS. She would get upset when people didnt have things done but wasnt clear on what was due or what exactly she wanted.

One of the best teachers I will ever have in my life. She is very hard to understand, unless you give patience and ears. She is so talent and will teach you skills that will alter your work for the better, although it is very difficult for many students to stay focused with her workload. Stay strong and keep focusing! She is great if you let her be

Unhelpful teacher with no regard for student's time - she wouldn't end class on time and would ask us to stay late, also scheduled portfolio interviews for end of term outside of class time and would make us wait hours after our scheduled appt time

She i a great prof, taught many techniques that help improve on your drawing skills. Yes, I admit she gives a lot of odd sometimes unnecessary assignments and sometimes its hard to understand what she says when she talks to the class, despite all that she gives second chances or more for improvement and 1 on 1 is best if you want her advice :)

Diane's the person who you're more comfortable and much more approachable in a small group rather than a large class. If you have the opportunity to talk to her, talk. Her 1-on-1 lessons are quite engaging and she's one of the more lenient profs at OCAD. If you keep up with the weekly homework, there's no reason why you shouldn't get a decent mark.

Very nice lady. Allows room for creativity. Appreciates art with a strong philosophical/social message. Only complaint is she babbles on and over-explains things for wayy too long. Very approachable though.

She is an inspiring person long after you've been taught by her. She's the kind of person you think back to when your in your upper years and think about the many different approaches towards creativity she challenges. She truly cares about her students and is dedicated to the good of the arts in our community.

Diane helps you build a portfolio of useless scribbles that you will never need when you leave her class. Her lessons are a farse, and her excercises are worse. She tends to go easy on people she knows better. She is a bad teacher.
