She's a great professor and she's very nice. We didn't have a lot of class work but we did 3 essays and 12 journals (all due at the end of the semester) throughout the semester. Some of her lectures do start to become tiring but if you show up and do the work, you'll get a good grade.

Professor Poetker was very clear with her grading criteria. Lectures get a bit boring at times. There is a final presentation that is required. Overall, she likes essays to be creative, strongly argumentative, and well organized. Would recommend this professor. All in all, the course is relatively simple with minimal workload.

This was by far the easiest class I have ever taken. As long as you do the GLAs and turn in your essays on time, there is no reason to not get an A in her class. She said at the start of the semester that attendance was mandatory, but by the middle she stopped checking who was coming to class.

She was a great teacher! Always kept the class interested and gave great feedback on my essay. I had a 89.5 at the end of the class- but she still gave me an A. Great teacher, would definitely take again.

This class is almost impossible not to pass. And if you don't, it's definitely your fault and not hers. She tells you on the first class what's expected of you for the rest of the semester. Procrastination is what will destroy you in this class. The few tests you take are cake and homework is rare. Just don't be stupid and get your work done early

BEST TEACHER: SHE IS REALLY FUNNY, she reads most of the class period, but she is always entertaining and she is always in a good mood. There are no tests in the class, just the book "flight" quizes, and then the final exam. thats all!!!! if you do all the GLAS and essays, and show up on essay partner reviews ! worth alot of points!!! VERY EASY !

Awesome professor. I took her last year my first year back in school, it was nice having her as my first English Professor. Mrs. P is great her jokes are hilarious. She is very fun in down to earth.I recommend taking her for any English classes that you need that she offers. Easy class and she gives you plenty of time to do assignments

Back to school after 30yrs. Got Mrs. P as my first teacher, and I am SO glad I did. I was very nervous and she put me at ease right away. She is funny, easy to talk to, has a huge interest in her class and LOVES english. Do your work, pay attention, take notes. Do fine! GREAT TEACHER! Wish was teaching 91 this yr. I'd take her again in heartbeat!

BEST TEACHER EVER!!!! Took her last semester and man that class was so fun. She mad me actually want to go to class at 8 in the mooring. I really dislike english but she made me like it! FUN class if you get a chance I would really recommend her to any one she's really caring of her students and works with you. You get a joke every wednesday! FUN!
