Comment:

Don was very helpful during the lab hours. Although his lectures are quite dry they are very helpful (write fast when taking notes because he moves quite quickly). When studying for the midterm and the final, take topics covered in lecture and refer to textbook (he doesn't try to trick you). If you put in the effort you will do well.

I would never take him again. Completely unhelpful and useless,always gives you the same generic answer as someone else.Class was unhelpful as all we did was talk about textbook materials. The poster he makes you do is complete BS, this isn't elementary school. His exams are usually quite random and unclear, he gave everyone the same mark last exam

Don is a great professor. Encourages students to ask questions and is very approachable! Assignments are straightforward if you follow the outline and pay attention when he's explaining. He's down-to-earth and the effort you put in is the grade you get out! This was one of my fav classes. His social geog background really makes the content engaging

Don often misses class and doesn't hand your assignments back and usually when he says he will have your assignments for next class he is not there. Also there is not point in going to class because the tests are on the text book and what he teaches is not helpful. I would not take another class with him.

rude, cancels class frequently, hard marker without being clear on how he would like you to do certain tasks, tests are hard but just prepare well, reading the text will help. If you have another choice for professors in this class, check them out before commiting to Don. Did not find him helpful at all even when I did ask questions

i agree that he does kinda get mood swings, but he is usually nice and the lectures are pretty easy to follow, and the tests are medium in terms of hardness

Pretty unclear with assignments. He makes you do an outline of an assignment without even knowing what the entire project is. He also gives a random in class paper that you aren't prepared for. Oh, and he's pretty bad for cancelling class but not letting you know ahead of time...so you still show up. Overall super boring and repeats himself.

Okay so I thought maybe some of these comments were exaggerated and maybe they were written by slackers... THEY ARE NOT.. everything negative mentioned is absolutely true. He is not clear at ALL with his assignments, when I've asked questions he'll say its a good idea, when I put in on my outline he says its wrong (OK?)expects you to read his mind

Boring classes, unapproachable and a bit intimidating. His tests are not easy and reading the textbook is MANDITORY!. tests on things he didnt talk about in class. lots of BORING government movies used.

I will admitt his lectures can be boring if you decide not to ask questions and spark debates. I would recommend this class and i've had him twice. Easy exams and easy assignments, just pay attention to the little man!

seems to be a nice guy. Complicated marker; interesting topics, class is a little boring though. Lots of reading and knowing all the concepts. He expects certain answers on the midterm and final, lots of studying is recomended. Helpful during office hours, lets you ask questions at the end of class about the assignments and final.

This is an easy class but don't expect a high grade cause this guys marking is very weird and it does not favor the students very well. It doesn't matter how well you answer the questions on exams, he will still not give you full credit for it. Nice guy but don't interrupt him during lecture or else he'll definately give you a crappy mark.

don is a real d[ck sometimes. unclear on expectations and marks unfairly. seems to have his favourites cause he wasn't that nice to me. good thing sabrina was there, she was very helpful. this class made me depressed. if you can tolerate one of the most boringest lectures in school, then go ahead.

Don is one sketchy person. He seems insecure and always has to be right. You answer one of his questions right and he'll restate it like hes right and you're wrong. His grading is based on nothing, just gives random grades. Makes an already boring course even more boring that I'd rather take accounting or math.
