A wealth of knowledge and always has an artist, technique, or helpful comment to suggest. Easygoing but has high expectations that are nevertheless attainable. Lent his personal books out to help students and even bought one a canvas when she needed help. Willing to go the extra mile and has a good sense of humor. A truly excellent professor.

Met Don Rowe w/ my portfiolio fresh.yr. Wanted to paint w/o the prereqs. LONG mtg ensued, I got in! EVERY student in the class: senior. I was given great praise only to have him give me a C- in the class. EVERY other student= an A. He said, "You are too arrogant for a freshman & I needed to knock your block down a little." I don't paint any longer.
