His class is hard and yes he is a tough grader but that is because he cares for his students. He wanted his students to understand statistics and to be precised in calculations. If you show up in class and do your homework, you will have no problem taking his class.

Do NOT take this professor. He doesn't teach well. His graded is screwed up. Even if you get the right answer but don't write it EXACTLY like he wants, he will count off for it. He uses an overhead projector and writes all over the transparencies so you can't even read what's on it. Also, if no one answers a ? After .5 sec he says "hello?"

I'm currently in his class and I'm sure when he was younger he was better, but he is the most unorganized man I have ever met. Goes over the same things from previous classes and forgets the due dates on the syllabus. The material seems very outdated and he seems to expect us to know things from years ago. Nice guy but terrible professor.

Don Willis is an incredible man, but as far as the classroom goes, he is terrible. To start, his form of statistics is incredibly outdated. It was used maybe a couple of decades ago. He is one of the most unorganized professors I have ever had and is terrible at presenting the material. Do not take this class with Willis.

Hardest class I've taken at DBU. If he wasn't such a sweet old man I would dislike this class even more. Terrible at teaching out of the book he wrote himself. Basically have to teach yourself the whole class. Everything has to be done his way. If you can, take this class at a different school.

He's extremely unorganized. Many people would do better in his classes if he was decent at communicating what is expected. Don't bother with printing or referencing the syllabus, because he offhandedly changes everything. Also, I'm sure he was great in his prime, but his material on marketingselling is outdated. The workbook is very evidently old.

Very unorganized. Very hard to follow. He uses a projector to lecture, and writes all over the laminated example sheets so that you can't see ANYTHING but his dry erase marker marks. He also puts every homework assignment from each of his classes in to a large carry on bag. As a result, he loses about 20% of homework assignments.

MANY people do not like him & get sarcastic, but those are the people that are pure lazy. I struggle in all math, but his explanations were clear--IF you pay attention. The exams do ask alot of you; you have to memorize steps but as long as you study in repetition, you'll do fine.

If you do your hw and study for tests then you should be fine. His class can be tough and sometimes hard to understand. Statistics is just an awful course. One thing I like about his class is that he posts online video lectures, so if you miss a class you can watch it online!

Professor Willis is a tough teacher and does require a lot of homework, but it gives you easy credit. His test are very difficult, you have to be prepared. However, he does provide you with ample information for taking the test and doing well. I plan on taking him for statistics in the fall because I know he will prepare me for tests.

Statistics can be hard, but if you go to every class meeting, he explains the homework step by step. And if you do all the homework you will get 100 on the tests. The homework is EXACTLY what kind of questions will be on the test. So just go to class, follow him in the homework, and you will do fine.

This man is extremely hard, if you can take someone else take them, the information he teaches is much simpler than he explains them, I took another stats class before taking this for a minor and made an A. This class is not as bad as people will say. His notebook was mandatory and crucial to the class. He is VERY clear on what will be on the test. Pay attention ask questions and don't miss class and an "a" is very attainable. He actually wants you to succeed.

Very nice teacher. Extremely passionate about STATS. Didn't use the book very much at all. Can't understand his grading but he does give you plenty of opportunity for extra credit. GO TO CLASS...DO NOT MISS CLASS...If you miss class, you will be lost.
