Brilliant, kind, and hilarious! Just show up, do your homework, follow directions, and you'll pass! He does get off topic constantly, but there is a point to his ramblings if you pay attention. I made an A in his English 300 class just by following his format which he goes over frequently in class. He also provides you with detailed notes on D2L.

Dr. Secrets is seriously the best! He rambles a lot but he class is super easy. He is really intelligent and as long as you do the work you will be fine. He gives you plenty of time to work on papers and all the quizzes are online. He is really funny and he almost always lets you out early. I would definitely take him again!!!

Hated the class. I'm the type of person that really wants to get my money's worth out of a class and I feel like I wasted a lot of time. Dr. Secreast will go over an outline for a paper for weeks but when it comes time to turn it in, the student will most likely get it wrong.

Dr. Secreast is hilarious! It does take a little getting used to because he tends to go on crazy tangents that could seem annoying to someone without a sense of humor. He is so compassionate though, and would do anything to help a student out, definitely take this english course - you read a lot of great stories too!

HE SUCKS. I had him for Fiction Writing. He's ok if you write the way he likes you to.. but if you do something he doesn't personall like, he has no problem telling you and embarrassing you in front of the whole class. There's a difference between constructive criticism and being critical and he is the second.

very interesting professor, makes class fun, very clear on material, gives study guides and answers which is exactly what the quizes are, only 3 analytical papers, attendence is up to you, but you get a point scale (2 pts. every day you attend) as long as you come to class and do the work its an easy way to help you get an A!!!

Good professor, very easy quizzes as he just gives you the answers. Very lax on due dates for assignments. Has a tendency to get very far off topic, but usually its a good story in its own right (regardless for its relevancy to the actual lecture). Great guy, definitely recommend his classes.

Professor Secreast is an outstanding english professor! I had his 9am class and throughly enjoyed it! If you need to take an english course take his. I have had Dr. Secreast for 5 English classes since I have been at Radford and I wish I could take him again! He is absolutely hilarious and a professor you HAVE to take at least once! You learn more about his life then about the literature, but that's what makes him the most memorable and loveable professor at Radford!!!
