Comment:

I loved this class! I had a high grade and had lots of fun. Easy tests and midterm. Some assignments are a little confusing but not hard to figure out. She is very forgiving for late assignments. Very kind, respectful and understanding. Will send you the notes if you missed a class - try not to. Best class and teacher I've had in university so far.

Comment:

Terrible. First mark received was after 6 weeks. Failed to return assignments. Unorganized in presenting material & was unfamiliar with online system. Peers were equally frustrated. After 8 weeks, 'higher-ups' finally gave students the option of refunding their tuition with no reflection on their transcript or continuing with ample extra help.

Worst instructor/class I have ever taken.She fails to return assignments, she is very unorganized in presenting the material and is not at all helpful. It is basically a spelling class. Even the few fluent Cree speakers/curriculum writers I knew who looked at my course material thought it was a mess. She should not be teaching ANY LANGUAGE CLASS!

Easiest class I have ever taken in university. I did not study once and got an 89. Doreen is super nice and very friendly, always smiling. Definitely recommend this class.

Worst Class I have ever taken. I highly recommend taking this class from another prof. Very unorganized and useless when it came to asking for help. She didnt even help at all. Should think about finding another profession. Im not saying these because I have any hard feelingss, I passed the class no problem. Just trying to help others

She is very nice, but has a tendancy to not respond to emails, thus if you ask a question about a project, you most likely will not hear form her untill it is after the due date. (Cree is a building class, and is hard to keep going if you do not know if the first few concepts are right) I would strongly not recomend an online language course.

Doreen is awesome!! She is a bright person and humble. She is helpful beyond belief and always encourages everyone that they can make it, even if it is a hard language.Take her class over Darren's, you will actually learn something.

Very nice lady, but extremely unorganized. This should not be offered as an online class. Doreen very poor at answering email and getting assignments marked and returned. Stay away if you want to actually learn anything.

If you want an easy mark,this is the class. However,as a teacher her responsibilities are diverted elsewhere. She doesn't respond to emails as promptly as she expects from us and assignments are rarely returned before exams. I would take a class with her again, but dont expect a helpful prof!

Doreen is an extremely nice lady, but a little unorganized and doesn't always answer e-mails. She tries though, and I respect her for that. I would recommend finding a study buddy to help each other with assignments and the oral part. Other than that, nice lady, I would recommend.

Doreen is very helpful and genuinely nice. She takes a long time to return things, but that's my only complaint. I would definitely recommend this prof to anyone interested in Cree.
