Comment:
Take Dr. Fleischer if you want to write a six page research paper in MLA format while other sections write 20 page papers. She is hilarious at times and is able to ramble on just about any topic. She even lets your edit your quiz responses to get back some points. There is an in class essay based on documentaries you watch in class.

Utterly useless professor who gave some of most absurd feedback on your assignments. DO NOT expect to learn anything about writing in this class. I gave up caring at all after the halfway through the semester. What a disgrace.

Had her for hum 101 and she wasn't hard. had us read a few articles a week that i skimmed or got the info from somebody else and while it seemed impossible to get an A, it also seemed impossible to fail. She spends the class talking about how important and powerful nature is and how women are under represented. write the same thing on papers is a B

She's good! Tough at first, but just take the time out to read the books (or find good summaries) and write thoughtful essays. The HSS I took is entirely online so emails dont really convey the friendly personality she has.

Other than needing more time for some of the readings, this was a good class to take. The criteria was clear, and you knew what was expected. She gives good feedback for both forum and papers. Seems a little tough at first but after the first paper, it gets better. I actually enjoyed doing the research paper. Most of the books are a good read.

the syllabus is given way before the semester starts and if you're taking this class chances are you've already completed some of the assignments like, cover letters, resumes, etc. she doesn't give good feedback so if you have to write something, good luck with it. might just ask the forums for help. not her.

Dr. Fleischer's HUM 101 course was one of my favorite GUR's at NJIT. She is very helpful, and helps you out. As long as you do the work and make corrections to your paper, you are sure to get an A. There are quizzes at the beginning of each class, and if you fix your responses to the essays, she will increase your score.

You will have to read before every class because you will be quizzed each class on all the readings. 3 essays, 2 presentations, no exams. 2 essays at home (3pgs), 1 in class. Presentations are easy. She lets you redo every quiz and essay for a better grade. She is extremely flexible and understanding, sometimes extends due dates for you.

You have to do the readings and write a decent amount of papers, but she's a really fair grader. She gives feedback on everything that's on time, and gives you sooo much time to hand in late assignments. I handed in an assignment a week late and she didn't take any points off for lateness. If you do the work, you'll be fine.

She really wants students do well. I took her for Eng 352 and Hum 102. Got an A both times. Lots of work for Hum 102 (read all the assigned material and remember it!), but really nothing big for ENG 352. Every week there's an assignment for ENG 352, but they're really easy. Like short answer to some prompt in the book or making a cute flier.

Great professor. You definitely need the book because the class revolves around it. You do get quizzes every single time. It's work but if you do it and pay attention to her comments, you'll definitely get an A. And she's there if you need help via emails, office hours AND she gives you her house number.

The class is pretty difficult in terms of workload. However, she really cares about your writing and growth, and gives great feedback. She's available through email and phone for online courses, I recommend communicating with her for e-learning classes. Don't expect an easy A if you're writing is mediocre or only good, it better be great.

I mean seriously? She requires way too much work. Do she not realize that theres other classes besides hers that students are taking? essays, a final project that requires 4 essays one including you to interview a health professional, plus discussions and so forth.

I had this professor for an online course. Dr Fleischer is a fair professor. She is concern with her students understanding the work. She is always reachable and her goal at the end of the day is make sure that we learn.

She does tend to ramble (pretty often) but her stories are always interesting. You will definitely be reading and writing A LOT, and she's pretty tough when it comes to grading. You will do a quiz on something you were required to read before class each and every time. You'll survive if you're someone who has either a passion or talent for writing.

Dr. Flesicher needs to retire... a long time ago. She rambles on in the classroom sometimes about nothing, gives a quiz on basic vocabulary every time class meets (unnecessary) and is way too rough on grading. Not to mention she makes you study her own published material which should not be allowed.

Not extremely difficult, but I recommend you don't take her. She rambles, she's a hypocrite, and she's big on grammar and punctuation. I was assigned 2 research papers and 2 persuasive essays during finals week, 2 from her, 2 from department. She is resourceful, she's a disabilities historian and she knows what she's teaching, she just rambles on.

If you ask me what I hate the most about my school, i'll say Doris Fleischer. She is the most annoying piece of crap on earth. We have vocab quizzes every single class which makes it like middle school all over again. She bugs out all the time, even from ppl makin noises from pens, unintentionally. NEVER take her, if you wanna live..please dont!
