The class is pretty straight forward, there were 7 pop quizzes a midterm and a final. My advice is to write down everything he says. His powerpoints don't have a lot on them but he goes over everything orally. Not a hard class if you put in the effort of showing up, writing down notes and thinking critically about the material.

Excellent professor, very funny and charming. Lots of reading required and they are mandatory. Quizzes are sometimes tricky but, as long as you pay attention, exams are easy. If you do the work, you will get the grade. Take this class if you are interested in history.

I love him! He does many crazy things to grab our attention. Though history may be boring, he tries very hard to make it interesting. The final grade is composed of participation, 7 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. HE CURVES THE QUIZZES! The midterm and the final is a bit hard, since it's based on memorization and textual support, but easy grader!

I don't know why people are hating on Doron, he is the BEST. His sense of humor made history actually fun! His tests are a little weird because they're true/false but he curves everything and there are no essays. And yes, his powerpoints don't have a lot on them but he teaches and as long as you take notes, you're good. TAKE DORON!!!

Obviously. Hes not ready to teach American History because his poor PowerPoint slides and basic explaining while talking in classes. So, we cannot learn. Moreover, his quizzes and exams are seriously difficult so he might intent to let students fail. Do not take this professors course again. I really distrust him. Please him be professional.

An Amazing Professor! He will keep you laughing for the entire class and I actually learned something and I'm usually never interested in history! The best part is, you can tell he's extremely passionate about his work. You can not go wrong taking Professor Ben-Atar!

Let me tell you... He's one of the greatest professors there is. He's funny, kind, and his class will never bore you. Reading heavy but he'll really reward students who participate in discussions often. I'll give him all the chili chili chili.

This man exudes chili peppers. 60 never looked so good! He is also a great professor. A lot of reading but he rewards you for your hard work, if completed thoroughly. Large portion of grade is online blogs. Really great way to keep you on top of your readings.

Best History Professor I've ever had. Clear lectures with detailed information. Very knowledgeable. He is really funny as well. He has a great relationship with students. Four books for a semester, hence a lot of reading. a P/F quiz after each book's due date. Tests are a mix of short answer and essays. Grades fairly.

Great Lecturer. He's funny. Do the reading. Its all available online and pop quizzes could spell your end if he thinks not enough people are doing the reading. Otherwise, he is funny, hot, and passionate about his subject and his students. He is really attractive. I'm not just pointing that out because he promised me extra credit if I did....

He is an amazingly knowledgeable, kind, and funny man. His sources include so many different topics and forms such as movies which will make you see American history from a different facet. Wish I could have taken more classes with him. For American History definitely recommend. If you do the readings and elaborate using examples you will do well!
