Comment:

There's a lot of online work but it definitely isn't unreasonable. It makes up for not having two classes a week. She is really flexible with your work. I wasn't always in the mood to play the class games, but they did legitimately help me a lot with understanding the course material. She's a bit goofy; I liked her a lot. Class isn't very hard.

Comment:

Professor Klotz's hybrid sections for the core Production and Operations Management course are very thoughtfully designed and well-executed. Go to youtube and search "Operations & Production MGNT - The Hybrid Sections" for a great info video about them!

Comment:

Professor Klotz's class is a 3 credit course, but only meets once a week. To supplement the missed class students do have to complete 3 hours of supplemental online lessons. Besides the tedious work , her tests are easy and quizzes are too. Quizzes are open book and students are allowed 2 pages of notes on final and midterm.

A few years ago she moved to Texas and changed the format of the class to 'hybrid', meaning the class only meets once a week even though it states otherwise. She flies in once a week to teach class. Also there's 4-6 hours of hw per week to supplement missed classes. You can't ask her questions about her video lessons in real time. Avoid.

Worst class I've taken at Fordham. All important information is taught via online "modules," which are incredibly dry. In-class meetings are a waste of time. I'm not sure why this course is part of the required curriculum, as its incredibly specific and really boring if you aren't interested in supply chain management.

She's a very nice and helpful teacher who wants her students to learn. The classes are a online/in-person hybrid giving students a lot of flexibility. There's a lot of coursework but you also learn a lot from the games and her lectures. If you want to make best use of your tuition then I recommend you take this course.

AVOID this class. Your friends will brag about how all they do is play games while you stay up on thursday night watching Prof. Klotz talk to a camera. Hybrid class. Prof. Klotz recorded all of the lessons years ago and forces you to watch them and take quizzes. Makes you wonder where your tuition goes since very little actual teaching is done.

She spends more time ranting and explaining how important her course is than teaching. The homework problems are useful, but class is an utter misuse of time. Take her if you enjoy bureaucratic shenanigans.

Not an overwhelmingly hard class. The games in class really help to clarify the concepts, and she always reviews the material from the previous class. A lot of people didn't put effort into the class because they assumed the second midterm and final would be easy like the first midterm. Put some effort into studying for exams and you'll do well.

Klotz is a great teacher to teach operations. She knows her stuff but uses games to demonstrate points, which is very effective. Sometimes she thinks she's a stand-up comedian and rambles about her life, but she's funny and it lightens up the class. Anyone who argues with her just doesn't understand the lesson. I would highly recommend Klotz.

I am embarrased that Klots works at Fordham. She babbles away like she is stoned. Don't ever disagree w/ her because she'll tell you straigt up that u r wrong. She argues like a middle school kid. Says she likes students but doesn't act like it. I think she just likes an audience.

She is easily one of the best professors. Her jokes can be a little off, but some of her stories are interesting. She explains everything very well, repeats it and applies it through games. The only way you will not like the class if you don't pay attention to games or don't come to class, which would be your own fault. Pretty easy grader.

Professor Klotz's class is fairly easy. I did no work for the class and got a B. Klotz has a game every week and the concepts learned in the game are very useful. You will either love her or hate her. If you think that OPM is stupid and you are here just to learn Finance, probably not your best choice. Her class does teach useful theories though.

I will never use any of this sewage in any career. Klotz is a straight out of The Magic School bus, but Ms Frizzle's wonderment has been replaced with delusions of grandeur. She rambles on uncontrollably, and had the gall to say that OPM is more important than any fiance and accounting class... wow, maybe if I was studying to become Henry Ford.
