Amazing artist. Hes really nice and people take advantage which sucks because he genuinely cares. He talks a lot and at a low volume which was hard for me. Hes so sweet and extremely helpful.

Definately a hippy who is very laid back and unorganized. But really knows his stuff, and is always willing to help. Get's a little behind schedule, but is willing to lesson work if that happens. Very laid back with grades. Doesn't care if work is beautiful, just if you followed guidelines and tried your best. Best ceramics professor out there

Truly an EXCELLENT instructor! Galletta is extremely helpful; his priority is the student. If you are unhappy with a grade you receive, you can rework the drawing and turn it back in for full credit. Galletta is the perfect instructor for someone who has littleno formal art training. Definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to learn.

Prof Gallettas knowledge on finearts is impressive. If youmake the most of class time you do not need to do anything out of classtim. His instructions are clear,gives you what is going to be on the final and is very patient. The only problem was capturing what he said as he talks fairly fast.Take notes!I was not a beginner but learned a lot!

Professor Michael inspired me to try ceramics and was very educated in all phases of sculpture, ceramics and drawing so the outcome was that I was very interested in learning. He was able to answer all questions but would forget sometimes to get a project from the kiln, due to the volume of projects being fired and students in the classroom.

Where to begin, he was a good professor in terms of I learned a lot from him. However, in my final critique he basically inspired me to quit art all together. He is bad at reminding students of their projects (there are a ton of them). He is also rude if you do not do things his way. never take above an intro class with him. Take Downey for Drawing

He is very helpful! he teaches a lot and I learned a lot! I love his class, the only thing is that you have to stand for hours...he doesn't allow to sit down while drawing. He teaches shading,measuring and gesture mostly. A little bit of perspective also. He allows you to make up the artwork, there's no way you'll fail unless you don't try

He maybe be a litter hard to understand. He does not teach proportion or noting in specific. If you really want to learn about drawing take another professor, if you are doing it just because you have to, I will recommend him. I love that he got a model for gesture drawing for the last classes.

galletta was one of the best art teachers i have ever taken. the knowledge he has and is able to share with the students is very useful information. i did projects i never dreamed i would do, and in the end, ended up falling in love with sculpture. i recommend taking him, he is very helpful and kind!

Mr.Galletta rocks so hard! He is such a skillful artist with a whole lot to teach to his students. Sculpture was my favorite class my whole 2 years at Valencia. I learned so much and cant thank him enough! No textbooks but a final and 3 time consuming projects. Da best!

Mr. Galletta is an amazing teacher. He may have long demos, but once he's done you don't hear very many people asking questions. He grades incredibly fair, and if your not done by the time the semesters over he lets you come back the next semester to finish and he'll change your grade.

He's a pretty good teacher. Much better than Kellum (had him for cerramics I). It was a little bit difficult because cerramics I and II were grouped together in one class so he had 2 lessons to cover in one meeting. He can be a little vague on project descriptions. All in all a good professor.

He's an awesome guy. Does like to talk a lot, but he does his best to help you with your work and doesn't judge you simply on your ability, also on your dedication and effort. Listen to a lot of the stuff he says because it turns out to be useful. -- Drawing hw isn't that time consuming, time varies due to skills and schedules.
