Doug is awesome. I found him to be, honestly, one of my favourite profs this semester. All around hilarious guy and, once you get used to him, a really nice guy.

I was skeptical at first but I'm glad I took biochem2 with him. He doesn't use the textbook so I only used it for review. Textbook practice questions are a waste of time but he gives old exams for practice that were all I needed (and the questions were often repeated). If you have questions ask him after class/at reviews bc he can be hard to reach.

Explained what could be difficult material in clear and simple ways; made it all understandable. Good PowerPoint notes. Provided many practice tests and was clear on what he expected you to know. Entertaining lecturer but got off topic sometimes. Very helpful during office hours! Enjoyed being in his class. Would recommend him for Biochem.

This guy is the best. I don't know why his reviews are so low. Highly entertaining, hilarious, but also has clear explanations and very fair tests. A+. One of my favourite profs for sure

Best chem prof at the U of W. Makes even the most complicated concepts super easy to understand. Everything you need to know is in the slides. He teaches you everything you need to know nothing more (unless you ask).

Had mixed feelings about Professor Craig at the beginning, he can seem somewhat disorganized and too care free at the beginning (and he can be hard to reach). At the end of the day however, he will take time to help you out and he's a really good explainer but study hard because his questions can be tricky!

Amazing prof for Biochem 2! Is very specific in what he wants you to know and won't waste time on stuff he finds boring!, His tests are fair and gives tons of hints on what the long answers are!

Guy is a gem. This class is more entertaining than a netflix marathon. However it is still biochem and can obviously be tricky if you don't pay attention. Need to go to class cause notes are not that helpful but provide tons of practice material and will basically tell you the questions on the exams

D. Craig is getting a bad wrap. His exams arent' unfair because if you show up to class, he let's you know exactly what kind of questions he will be putting on them. if you show up to class and know what you're doing, his exam's become very easy to pass with a good grade.

I found Dr. Craig's teaching style confusing (therefore, worse than useless) and his exams a little on the unfair side. He is nice as a person, but perhaps not the most sympathetic prof. Overall, I would not recommend him, but I would not run away if I -had- to take a class with ihm

BEWARE of courses with Craig without a textbook. You could really use one, especially since he whips through important material. You have to be pushy. If you don't understand, make him explain. Hard to read, just study everything.

The prof is lazy, sits on the table with his stupid laser pointer pointing on slides, and mumble air all class after 3 weeks I withdrew, because it was terrible, by the end on the semester he had about 11 students out of a bout a 100 give or take 10.

pretty funny guy, tells you what u need to know and not by going through his powerpoint. likes to screw around in class and asks hard unclear questions on tests and exams. as long as u read the text and do practice questions, u can do pretty good. helps if u start memorizing amino acid, and sugar structures asap.

Dr. Craig is hilarious. He made a 1 hour 15 minute class at 8:30 worth going to. Emphasizes the main points and avoids trivial details. I really liked his teaching style, but not everyone else did. Follow your notes - don't bother with the text unless you have time. Read the test & exam questions carefully; he does like to "trick" students.

Self-deprecating and funny. Warm-hearted if you can see past his quips where he pretends he's an ass. Very helpful and works incredibly hard (despite his "lazy" jokes; he's just an intelligent learner.) Picked up a prof's class without 2nd thought after Tomlinson died. Extremely recommended unless you can get Vanderwel The Goddess-better organized

Did he ever tell you about the "Purple Jesus Juice" he used to make in his post grad years? At first I thought he was a jerk, but I grew to really like the guy! He is a little off his rocker (and he knows it), but overall a very interesting and likeable prof.

DO NOT TAKE AN INTRO COURSE WITH THIS PROF. very disorganized, lectures consisted of him rambling on and telling the class to look things up in the text for themselves. did not clarify when asked to and wasted class time on stories. by end of semester majority of class sat in on other lectures to try to make up for his confusing waste of a lecture.
