Comment:

Lectures aren't mandatory but they are ever so highly recommended. The class was Museum Secrets and it honestly changed my perspective on so many things. There was a surprising amount of historical analysis and rhetorical theory to learn and be aware of, I learned a lot just by showing up for class. 10/10 would recommend.

I never thought I would enjoy Art History until I took her class. Knowledgable, helpful, and has pretty good lectures. Assignments are tough, but I guess that's university for you. All around friendly person.

Serena is very knowledgable and encourages her students. Reading past ratings, I was expecting her to be a fairy hard marker, but that was not the case. As long as you review the textbook and pay attention in class, there is no possible way you could fail. I was very impressed with her understanding on the various subjects

Serena is an AMAZING prof! She really cares about how her students do, and wants them to work hard to get good marks. Your mark is entirely based upon the amount of effort you put in... Her 3 hour lecture class went by faster than my hour ones! I never got bored.

I recommend this class for cultural context, non-formalist art history, and exciting ideas. Her ethusiasm is contagious--she known how to inspire good work. You'll get three courses' worth out of this one class. She looks for intellectual rigour and known how to bring it out in students. An "A+" for teaching style!

hands-down the best prof I have even had- very clear about her requirements. Her enthusiasm is sinspiring and challenging to students. When she's around you feel like doing extremely well- which is very important. Never got bored for one minute during her lectures. Also v. flexible about your needs.
