Comment:

Overall, an enthusiastic and supportive educator. As for being overwhelmed, the entire program is designed that way to train BEd students to identify priorities. I dislike math, but Doug made the process fun and approachable.

This was my teachable area and I was overwhelmed with boredom. Doug means well but I could not force myself to pay attention. Now that I am teaching in a highschool setting I recognize that a lot of the content that he taught was appropriate for secondary level. Not the best approach for student teachers in JI (gr.4-10)

Prof. Franks is a genuinely kind and patient human being. He suffered through teaching our huge 38 member section of J/I Bach. of Ed. students with humanity and compassion even though many of us were completely exhausted and burning out. Kudos to a wonderful teacher and a noble human being!!
