Pretty brilliant guy, relatively well-organized lecturer - much better than other hopeless 1L property instructors. Will get you through entirety of syllabus despite some rushing. Importantly, understands and can explain complicated concepts. Fun extras: Granville Island tour; Chancery skit, to break up monotony. Tough as hell but fair exam.

This man is awesome. He obviously enjoys the subject and teaching it and he is one of the nicest people ever. I'm not a fan of the actual course but I am a big fan of this man. Sometimes he gets behind schedule but he is willing to adjust the syllabus so it works out. Great guy.

Property Law & Theory -- sharpest class I ever had the pleasure of hanging with! Got to be on your toes and Doug is an excellent prof. He's kind, focussed, respectful, really really smart, and helpful. Keeps the discussion on track. Bit of a tough marker but loves ideas, students, teaching. Take whatever class he's teaching!

Wonderful class discussions and individual presentations. A small paper and short exam. Encourages discussion/different perspectives but stays on point. Loved this class!

Average teacher but really AWESOME person. Good researcher but much room for improvement with teaching, especially in large class. Heard he is better in small group. This prof should stick to teaching R.P. in small groups.

Harris is a good prof, and knows property pretty well. Managed to make up for lost term with McCue. Sometimes isn't sure of the practice elements, but will always admit it, and will then find out for you. Still don't know what property is though....

He is a little too artsy for my tastes (the Dickens, Steinbeck readings, etc.) but is a clear and effective lecturer. May sometimes let the class discussion get away too much into a policy/ethics oprah-style debate. fair exam

Harris is a good teacher, but way too much ideology in this class. Property law was turned into aboriginal law, which is somewhat interesting on its own, but come on...it was way too much for me.

highly intelligent. treats his students as peers (doesn't spoon feed at all) and expects the same level of intelligence from them. good prof, fair marker, but very keen.
