AMAZING! One of my favorite professors I've had a UR for Devil in the Details. He is so clear with grading criteria, assignments, and classroom topics. It's also such an interesting course--unlike anything else you'll take at UR. Participation is huge. Because of him, I'm thinking of minoring in Religious Studies (and I'm not religious at all).

Dr. Winiarski is an amazing and very intelligent professor. I took the FYS American Gods, and although the first third of the course was a bit dry, the majority of the course and the readings were so interesting. Participation and papers make your grade.

Dr. Winiarski is very passionate about Native American studies (perhaps too passionate?) The class is usually interesting but can get a little dry. The readings are the worst part; they're beyond boring. Additionally, you will use all of your printer credits printing the articles out. Very hard essay grader. Participation is huge for a good grade

Dr Winiarski is the man I've had him for multiple classes because I love the way he teaches and grading style. He is so clear with expectations and assignments and he is so smart. He will always help you, def go to his office hours. Theres always a massive final paper but he is fair with grading. participate in class, there is also lot of reading

Courses for this class are ridiculously hard, especially for a level 200 class. I do not recommend taking this class for your history requirement unless you intend on being a religion major. You learn a lot of interesting stuff, but he's just an impossible grader. I'm lucky to be getting by with a B as it is.

Native American Religions- He takes this 200 level class way too seriously. He is an interesting professor but the paper assignments are very difficult and he grades them hard. Attendance is mandatory and you are "graded" on not just if you participated but how "good" your contributions were.
