Comment:

Super nice, the class is really interesting. All you have to do is show up, present a powerpoint slide a couple times a semester, and you'll be fine. I literally never even opened my book and we had one test on the last day of class. Super easy, and Dr. Fergus is really passionate and well-informed about the material. Definitely take!

Comment:

Super nice guy and a super easy class. Do NOT buy the book, or even rent it, you won't use it at all! Just show up, do the one slide presentations, and pay attention like half the time, and you'll be fine. Such a nice professor and cool, environmental info. very informative!

Dr. Fergus's lectures are not engaging in the slightest, so you'll need the textbook to learn what you need. I probably would have gotten the same grade if I had never come to class except for tests and quizzes. To really learn the material well, I recommend looking elsewhere.

definitely knows a lot about random stuff but i mean that's what you have a teacher for. doesn't go over book stuff but that's probably because he covers everything we should know in class. personally i really enjoyed the class and the professor!

Fergus is the most monotonous professor in Auburn. He rambles and writes down random, indecipherable notes down during class. Going to class is pointless. Don't even bother buying the book. His exams questions come from his homework, so know how to do them!! In the end, he curves everything like a mad man so that everyone passes. I learned nothing

Doesn't use the textbook (do not buy), doesn't put notes online, doesn't explain the homework he gives you. His handwriting is horrendous, but that's how he teaches class. He'll cover way more than he tests on. Scales nicely, but only because he fails to teach well in the first place. Class is very boring, I don't feel like I learned it.

I had him for the Materials for Sustainable Energy elective. It was a very informative class - I enjoyed it. We had mini-projects almost every other week, at the end of the semester there was one big-project, and a final exam. The final exam was easy enough.

He was a pretty good teacher. I never really try in class, so that's probably why I made a B, but he tells you a lot of interesting facts which are cool, but they're more just for fun. It was a pretty good class.

He is a Ok guy. However, I found the material in the class very boring & difficult.I am probably going to make a C, but I am a pretty lazy person. If you do all the homework BY YOURSELF. You will prolly get an A. I would usually make about a 55 on most test. He would then scale, and Id get about a 75. he gives PARTIAL CREDIT AND SCALEs ALOT.

One of my favorite professors. I learn so much. I can understand everything he says even though he gives a lot of extra information, but all the extra stuff is usually really cool. I got a good grade in the end and learned a lot from this class.

I thought Dr. Fergus was a great professor. He really knows what he is talking about which makes class more interesting! I like hard classes and especially classes where I learn a lot which is exactly what his class was. I recommend him because you will definitely learn a lot.

Dr. Fergus definitely knows what he's talking about. He goes into great detail when lecturing. His homeworks are fairly easy and his tests are pretty straight forward. Make sure you study concepts because he always has one or two concept questions on the test. Make sure you make the graphs in your notes big because there will be a lot of info.

This guy knows absolutly everything there is to know about this stuff. Very smart, however, that also means he goes really in depth on topics. Thats good during class because you learn cool stuff but sucks when studying because there is soo much stuff. He makes it up by curving like a madman. I would recommend.
