I love Prof. Burris. He was by far my favorite professor this semester. He is a genuinely good guy. He cares about every student and tries his hardest to help you succeed. DO THE HOMEWORK, SHOW UP TO RECITATION, AND STUDY STUDY STUDY! Also, he DOES NOT allow phones or sleeping in class.

This Professor is AMAZING. Very helpful and cares about all of his students with no favoritism or discrimination. Really explains the material well and brings Calculus to an easy, understanding level. Take him in the summer if you can because the homework takes quite a long time to complete. Great guy with some hilarious stories to keep class fun!

Professor Burris is the man. He makes the classes really interesting especially with all of his very entertaining stories. There are some classes where paying attention is hard but they're rare. He goes over everything and really understands the material and tries his best to help. Highly recommended.

The math program changed this semester as well as the text book and Professor Burris does not know how to teach the material in a way that is helpful or understandable. You'll find that you have to learn on your own because he himself does not know the material. He spends more time sharing stories than what you need to know to pass the common.

The point of this class is to get to the next class and he makes that clear. if it's not on the test he wont bother talking about it, an it'll save you time and stress. on the negative, he has favorites, doesn't go into concept/theory too much. He is a fair grader, however.

Very good professor, Knows how to handle students keep a class in control but loose. Held extra classes before exams to help anyone who wanted to come. Not only is class time made more enjoyable by his lessons and stories but he is a very good teacher and knows his calculus. I would suggest taking this professor if you can stand 3hr night classes

MR. Burris is what a real math professor should be. He's easy to understand, waits for the students to ask questions, and SPEAKS ENGLISH CLEARLY! He also relates math to the real world (with amusing armed forces/navy lingo) so calc wasn't so awful to learn. I took the summer course and I passed! Take his class if you can.

I learned more in his class than any other math class I have taken. Also one of the most fun classes I have ever taken. Don't let him scare you off the first day, he is really a great person. He ties the subject in to real world problems to make them very understandable. I have a lot of respect for this person!

Burris is a pretty cool guy. He has an armed service background and uses alot of army talk. He teaches slowly ( unlike every other Math Prof. ) and in turn fails to fit certain things in before the end of class. He is tough on grading, refusing flaky partial credit claims. I received an A, but not without busting my A**. DO HW and STUDY THE BOOK.
