Comment:
I've taken some upper level courses with Dr. Mohrmann and have seen his depth of knowledge about the material. His teaching style seems tailored more for higher level courses, but works very well. As expected with Junior and Senior level courses, they will be challenging, but he's vary adept at grading according to your skill level.

Very tough grader. Needs have more grace there, but he really wants to see you work for it because he wants you to do your best. If you talk to him after class he's great about answering questions or explaining concepts. You get what you put in - high expectations. Took him for Old & New Testament. Notes in lecture can nearly replace reading.

Dr. Mohrmann is a very tough teacher. He will not clarify things easily and will not make the class interesting in any way. So hard to stay awake.

Dr. Mohrmann is one of the worst professors I have ever had. Expect a lot of reading and nothing to be explained. He is the definition of bad teaching.

Don't get me wrong, he knows a lot, but I honestly wish I would have taken my class with a different teacher. His lectures don't make sense, and he marks off points for silly things. Like marking you down because of paper length, not content. (Which seems like comprehension of subject would be more important). Tons of reading as well.

Dr. Mohrmann is one of the most knowledgeable and wisest professors at CU. You will not get an A with him, and he's not an easy professor and you'll get annoyed and frustrated, but it's totally worth it. You will be more than prepared for upper level classes and will learn so much. Definitely worth it.

Great prof. If you don't understand him, take time to read the textbook and come to class prepared. I've had him for my three semesters here at Cornerstone and although I do not agree with everything he says, I can respect it cause he knows his stuff. Looking forward to my first upper level Bible class with him!

Great all around professor. He has a heart for the subject matter and for the students attending his courses. Be prepared for alot of reading, and come to class with some key thoughts to discuss with him - he likes it when I student can have a good discussion that will lead to him shedding even more knowledge.

One of my favorite ever. Besides learning a lot about the Jewish context of the faith, I learned quite a bit about myself. Also, he did such a good job teaching that I find some of my seminary classes to be redundant.

I think he was one of my favorte professors in my Freshman year of college. He is always challenging students to do their very best at whatever they are doing. I ate lunch with him several times and he was always a great person to be around and talk to. He has tons of knowledge of other subjects and is always willing to share that knowlegde.

this proff is exelent for the upper bible courses. He is better than the rest of the bible dept. and the only one who can maybe hold a dim candle to him would be Adams. trust me. adams is good, but not that good. This is one of the best on the nation if you want good teaching.

I had him for Christian Found. 1 and 2 and he was one of few professors who taught the core classes at a college level. He does not spoon-feed the information and requires students to be prepared. You won't do well in his class if you don't have the responsibility to prepare for class.

Ick! Mohrmann is a really nice guy, but as a teacher, he falls short. He uses big words, reads to the class off of his over-prepared paper, and answers questions only by re-reading what he read the first time (which was incomprehensible).
