Dr. Z was a great online professor. She makes things clear for you and gives you outlines in which she makes the tests by. The labs and classwork took a great deal of time but that was expected of an online 4 credit class. The tests are fairly difficult but if you really take the time to read her notes and learn them, you will do great on them!

Mrs. Zagula is an amazing and kind woman. No need to buy the book, her tests and assignments come straight from her study guides/notes. This class is an easy A if you at least try and i'm talking BARELY try. read the notes, watch the videos, fill out the hw assignments and read the study guide from time to time and you'll pass.

Loved this teacher! Lives in NH but is always around to help out. I had a paper due at 11:59 and my computer randomly crashed at 11:45 so I was unable to get my paper in on time. She allowed me to turn it in the next day with no penalty. Her tests are VERY hard. Study the notes and you will be fine! :)

Dr. Z was a great instructor. I took both BIO 110 and BIO 140 with her. She is very passionate about what she teaches and makes learning the material very enjoyable. It is an easy A if you do the work required.

Dr. Zagula is the best professor I've ever had! Don't expect online BIO to be easy but she makes A or B completely achievable. Lots of opportunity to earn extra points towards tests, expectations couldn't be more consistent and clearcut. I wish I could take more classes with Dr. Zagula. She makes class memorable, offers fast and great feedback!

I loved Dr Z! I originally took BIO 110 with her and loved her style of teaching. Her lectures are interesting and fun. This course however, takes up a lot of time. Don't take it if you already have a heavy workload. Mostly all test questions come from her lectures. Pay extra attention to what she has underlined and highlighted.

I'm shocked to see even one bad remark about her! you really did not try if you did poorly in her class. all of the test questions come straight from her study guidenotes so you won't even need to buy the book. She gives a lot of work so you really only need to worry about the grades you get on the hwdiscussion board. got me into science!

RUN!!! Teacher grades at a graduate degree rate, her labs are pretty simple, but do not relate to what she is teaching. If you are only taking this class you will be okay but if you are taking other classes with this, you need to run as fast as you can and take a different instructor. Only has 3 test, and those 3 test are hard!

Awesome teacher who teaches online... but like was previously stated don't let that stop you. As an English major I was sweating this BIO 110 but "Dr. Z" is great at creating fun and informative lessons. She also will comment back constructive criticism as well as take an interest in the sub fields of biology that might interest you. FUN CLASS!

Dr Z teaches online, and lives out of state. Don't let that discourage you. She works really hard to stay in contact with students and reply to emails promptly (if you need help, ASK). She creates lecture notes for you, instead of just leaving you to read the book and figure it out for yourself. Tests are challenging. Labs are fun and interesting!

Dr. Z help me understand biology. I recieve a D because I did't study as hard as I should have. Do all your assignments and the extra credit it will help at the end. When I email her she returned my email with in 24 hours. This this class it was great.

Dr. Z is very personable and extremely helpful. The tradeoff is that her tests are pretty difficult. She gives opportunities for extra credit to offset this, but you're still going to have to put in work to do well in this class. Dr. Zagula was very personal (rarity with an online course) her syllabus was clear, there were lots of labs, great study guides provided, and quick to reply to any questions I had. She was very excited by her material... which was contagious (even for someone who was dreading Biology). Lots of work for a 10 week summer class.. but she warned us.

I really enjoyed this class, but I wish that I had not puchased the book! Her tests come directly from her notes. Make sure that you memorize all underlined stuff in her notes!!!! I think she is a great teacher, but it isn't an easy class. You are going to have to read and study! I took the class online and I wish that I took it seated.

I took this class online. The instructor was responsive, but I wish it had been a seated class. I made an "A" on the lab portion, but my exam grades took me down to a "B" for the other portion. Be prepared to read, read, read if you take this class.
