They should subtitle the class "History through the eyes of John Sulentic!" He is a nice old fella and has a hell of a sense of humor, but his politics often slant the facts to favor a conservative veiwpoint. A poster-boy Republican, do not take this class if you are a democrat or an independant thinker! He'll drive you nuts!

The only time I failed to heed the feedback on rmp.com was when I ignored the feedback about Mr. Sulentic and I regret that to this very day. No study guide; doesn't follow "syllabus"; doesn't review; tests are mind boggling. You have no clue how to prepare. If you value your GPA, don't take any classes with Mr. Sulentic.

I have an A and can barely drag myself into this man's class. He's nice enough and certainly knows alot about what he's teaching, but I could just as easily stay home, read the book, then take the test and still pass. I wouldn't take him again and would not suggest him as an instructor unless you're an ultra-conservative, history buff.

to me this class was better to comprehend than west civ 2. Teacher gives a very strong person touch to his teaching which helped me alot in understanding. We only cover half the sylumbus which was a good thing because i hate history. give attention to the paper and study for the all the quizes and you will be ok.

Allright first everyone says he is rude and uptight, He is actually a GREAT teacher. He does only give 2 test but if you listen in class there a peice of cake EASY!! No homework what so ever, he does get side tracked but its great to break up the time with no history stuff.He is actually funny sometimes and will make you laugh.He does now his hist!

Here are some examples of things he said: The continental congress met in New York (completely false-it was Philadelphia), under the Great Compromise every slave counted as 2/3 of a person (also untrue- it was 3/5-this is also known as the 3/5 Compromise). All these people that **** about his politics are on this site for the wrong reason, who cares? This guy is very smart and knows his stuff. His teaching style is bland, but is easy to follow and his tests are cake if you take notes and read. He has interesting stories and tidbits that you won't find in the book. if you like history, take his class

Great guy... he does ramble sometimes, but a lot of it is interesting stuff about history that you probably wouldn't hear in another class. He really knows his stuff, but I still prefer Paul Hoch if you're taking history!
