SO BORING. He tries way too hard to be funny and wasn't successful. I had the 3 hour class and could barely keep my eyes open. The class is really easy material wise, staying awake and tolerating his droning is the hard part. I would recommend taking another professor. At least avoid the 3 hour class at all costs.

He's a really nice guy, but good god is he corny. He'll say some funny stuff every once in a while, but man you could hear crickets chirping after most of his jokes. I had the LONG 3 hour class, but he keeps things interesting and explains things very well. Tests are pretty easy, just go over his lecture notes and A's should be guaranteed.

He's a very good teacher. He explains things very well. His jokes can be a bit dry, but he has a very good sense of humor overall. He laughs at himself a lot, I believe because no-one else does. His tests are rather easy and questions repeat on future tests.

I probably wont take him again. Attendance is mandatory and there is a 5 question quiz *usually T/F* EVERY CLASS, covering 30-40 pages of material. I found the tests to be much easier than the stupid quizzes. Lectures straight from the book so class time is extremely boring because you have to read it to pass the quizzes. Blugh is all I have to say

Wood is a very good professor and very good at illustrating the concepts he's trying to teach. He's also not too opinated so your beliefs won't be put on trial as they would be in some classes. He gives quizzes everyday, so be sure to do the reading in the texts.

Good teacher cares about students not an easy A but not overly hard he makes class interesting and never talks down to students also cracks jokes a lot which is nice when you are in a 2 and 1/2 hour class =-) if u have to take a soc take him or ambrose and stay away from roth!

Teaches straight from the book. No need to go to class except for attendance grade. He repeates questions from previous tests. So, the tests aren't that difficult if you read the book. Just make sure to be there when he shows videos. Cause thats the only class material you'll need to have for a test. He tries to be funny, but is quite boring!

If you attend class and study a minimal ammount the test are easy. His lectures are the most clear and intertaining of any I have attended at Marshall. He goes over the most missed questions from previous test, and HINT HINT, puts them on the next test in the exact same wording and multiple choices.

One hell of a teacher. Funny, helpful, great personality, makes class fun, and very interesting discussions. What more could you ask in a teacher?...He is a very wordy guy so study hard for the tests and conentrate on the question and you'll be fine
