Comment:
Silldorf is a great teacher and you can tell his whole life is about anatomy and physiology. he is writing his own textbook, and while it is not mandatory, he provides it for free and it explains all the material the same way he teaches it. The only grades in the class are exams so attendance is not mandatory, but it is vital to success.

Professor Silldorff is a horrible teacher and does not care about his students. He reads the power point word for word and then the rest of the class you have to teach yourself. Avoid taking him!!!

Dr. Silldorff is incredibly smart, but he cannot teach. He wrote the textbook and it was actually very well written. But his questions on the exam were very difficult if you had taken animal physiology instead of anatomy 1&2. He was my least favorite out of the 3 professors who taught this course.

Dr. Silldorff is a great professor! That being said you absolutely have to do your part outside of the classroom and study HARD. He explains the material clearly & will go over it until you get it. The material is difficult but he is one of the most down to Earth professors I have ever had. I DEFINITELY recommend him if you actually want to learn!

Very interesting class, and a great professor. This class and the material are not easy, and requires a lot of study time to understand and comprehend the material. Must show up to almost every class since his tests are based on what he says in class. He provides lecture notes on BB which really help for studying. Def recommend him!

Great teacher, knows his stuff, and he's very enthusiastic about conveying information to students, it seems like he almost enjoys finding ways to explain himself.. for example, he draws pictures that help us visual learners. The tests are difficult, but if you study it's easy to get a B, hard to get an A.

I bombed this class. First class in my life I received below a B. Take this class only if it is required or you are seeking a medical degree. In hindsight, passing this class would require reading everything, meeting with the professors after every lab to discuss the material, and creating weekly study guides. About 6-8 hrs of prep weekly..

He is an amazing teacher! I wish I could take him for 214 too instead of another teacher during the minimester. He is very smart and knows the material. If you want to learn and retain what you learn, take him! This class is not an easy A, but he is always willing to help. Not to mention he is incredibly hot!

This professor is awesome. He knows his stuff and knows how to teach it. If you are a medical major, this is the guy to take. He drops your lowest lecture exam grade and puts bonus questions on some of the exams. He wants everyone to pass, this was the first time I took AP2 and passed with a B-. I recommend taking him if you want to actually learn.

Dr. Silldorff is the absolute BEST professor! A&P is probably the hardest class you can take, no question, and it doesn't matter who teaches it. BUT Dr. Silldorff is clear, helpful and nice & makes it interesting. He is also SUPER fair and drops the lowest test grade - winning! Don't know why anyone bashes him on here. Haters gonna hate I guess...

Definitely the scariest of the trio but he was my favorite. The material is very hard but he conveys it VERY clearly. You know exactly what you need to going into his exam (which is the hardest of the three without a doubt). VERY difficult and holds class to a high standard but VERY good! Take him!!

Don't listen to any of the commments bashing on Sildorff. He is a great professor; yes he goes fast, but just ask him to slow down. He is always willing to answer questions, fair, funny, and nice. A&P is hard, its not him. If you put in the time & effort, come to class, read the book, his notes, and do the practice questions you'll be fine. Awesome

this professor is AWFUL!!!! he makes the course so much harder than it has to be. yeah a&p is tough on its own but his teaching method makes it worse, its almost like hes waiting for you to fail no study guides, no hw,no extra credit. if you fail test ,you fail class. he ultimately sucksssss.

This class is a waste of your time and his. I had no other option but to take him and I had to withdraw even with the 50 hours of studying a week I put in. DO NOT TAKE if you want to pass Anatomy. He is by far the worst professor I have ever had.

His class went from 60 to 15 students before the drop period. He doesn't care about this class or you. He said he HAS to teach this class but he would rather teach grad students because they know more on the subject. Sent an email telling us we should all drop and that you won't become part-time if you do. You take him, you fail. the end.
