Comment:
Professor really knows the subject and her lectures are quite understandable. However, she does not use modern teaching techniques, spends lots of time writing on the board, and does not cover the all of the subject. She misses class several times and gives only memory type true/false or multiple choice question tests

I really did like Dr. Smith and she knows the material well and holds some interesting lectures. The exams are hard so do study for them. You will learn from her and reexamine your beliefs. Good class and great lady

Essential class for everyones understanding of people around the globe. Smith knows what she is talking about. Study Guides are important, but pay attention to things she repeats in her lectures. A good class, but long.

she is completely unorganized. until someone complained, she was late AT LEAST 10 minutes every class time, that is if she decided to not cancel the class.

Comment:
Dr. Smith's lectures are taxing, and the study guides are ESSENTIAL. Previous knowledge in Comp. Religion would be extremely helpful! Classes tend to be somewhat "dry", and questions tend to derail the lecture. Not the most approachable of teachers, rather intimidating.

SHE's BORING but you just need to get past that. Her lectures are taxing but if you are really interested in philisophy, then it's actually pretty cool. She makes me think hard in that class...after all, it is philisophy.

Lecture class, pretty easy, a quiz on each chapter and two midterms, one final. The midterms and final are the hardest part but you can bomb them and still pass the class with a B or better.

Comment:
Her tests are difficult and require a lot of studying, so take lots of notes, pay attention, and do the reading. Do the critical thinking questions because she is very fair about giving you an A as long as you show effort on them. She's very knowledgeable and interesting. Participate in class b/c she likes that. Only gripe is she is late a lot..

gave 2 exams and final. all were multiple choice and hard. she asked difficult questions. do the homework, it will really help your grade. required 2 books but only used 1 for HW. she is clear, answers questions, highly knowledgable, and writes a lot on the board.

Excellant teaching skills. Just as everyone has already said: organized, great delivery you can understand, consistency, and tons of information. I learned more in one lecture on eastern religion than I did studing for sometime with the Krishna's. Extracting info from the Krishna was rather painfull

Great class. She provides clear, organized insight on the subject. Definately do well on the quizzes and do ALL of your HW (they boost your grade in the end) Midterms and Final can be kinda tricky. Stay on task to get an A.

She is comprehensive when lecturing and her study guides are VERY helpful (essential!). Very good about answering questions (to the point of derailing the lecture for a bit). Quizzes & tests are mod. to diff. w/a few tricky questions. Highly reccommended.
