Not sure why Dr. Iyer gets such negative reviews. He's knowledgeable, experienced, and very friendly. He cares about his students and his work. Marketing 410 is definitely one of the more interesting marketing electives. Would recommend. 2 tests, no homework and a bunch of easy in class projects. So there is a lot riding on your test grades.

Very interesting class on marketing. The professor clearly knows the field and the material well. He made a 4 hr lecture go by relatively quickly w/ a good mix of lecture & class discussion. The 8 week course crammed into 4 weeks was intense, but doable. 6 out of 7 papers graded at 90% grade and 10% based on class participation. Recommended!

Excellent professor. He went out of his way to make the material understood and was very approachable, especially when e-mailed (which he responded to rapidly). Taking his class during the summer is difficult due to the short timelines (he made an 8 week class 4 weeks), but alot of material is learned.

Very nice and intelligent. Willing to help if you need it. Makes the class interesting with jokes. Tests are mostly open ended questions, very easy. Choose to take classes with him when you have a choice. He's a really good prof.
