Berry is very nice and clearly loves Shakespeare but I found his lecture style to be a little confusing in terms of being able to take clear notes. If you are going to take this class, take it in the afternoon and not at 8:30 am because the info can be a little much at that hour. Decent marker.

I love this class so far. Yeah he expects a lot in his in class essays, but it's an upper level English class so what do you expect. I just dont like all the stupid ppl that talk so much during class. SHUT UP! Let HIM teach, he is the prof after all.

I was really REALLY digging his class, then I saw a nasty, impatient side which killed his class for me. I remain engrossed in the wonderful material (great class) but not with him. My advice: Take his class but participate in discussion at your own risk. Show up, keep quiet, and it's all good.

Berry is great because he loves his material and presents it in a fantastically interesting way. Somehow he makes an 830 class seem fun...His marking is a little on the hard side and he expects a lot in his in-class essays, but he is definately worth it.
