The stuff this guy would tell us to "really know" wasn't even on the exam. I basically failed my first one by studying exactly what he told us to. Copy ALL the definitions from the text & memorize them. That's the only way you're gonna get a direct answer & do well on tests. His responses to questions in class are indirect & just confuse everyone.

I'm takin BUS385 online with him in U of M , he is the worst professor ever, even it's online class and we can't get good grade, too much pressure and confusing us. big mistake to take with him, trust me u don't wanna get F avoid him.

Ed Bruning is an excellent professor.He is very passionate and very knowledgable. His lectures are very engaging. I learned a lot from them. His teaching style is great :) One of the best professors I have had in my undergraduate degree! Class is condensed but better to take in the Spring/Summer session!

Great professor,I have learned a lot in his class, even though exams are pretty tough, but if you carefully follow his instruction and pay attention to what he said in review classes, then you will be fine. Group project consumes lots of time and efforts, but overall you can learn a lot from him.

He is a nice fellow, but quite frankly his teaching style is awful. The notes provided in class are terrible and I had to use the textbook like crazy in order to understand material that should have been easy to teach. I'm a good student and it pisses me off that this class was harder than it should have been due to his teaching style.

course was likely helpful for those with zero poli sci or economics exposure - was more like an undergrad intro political economy course, and not much like the graduate course on markets and public policy advertised. Prof seemed annoyed by opinions contrary to his own and while getting a good grade was not difficult, marking seemed arbitrary.

One of the best profs I have ever encountered. Some of the stories don't make sense, but they're good for a laugh. Fascinating man with so much practical experience that he brings to his class. If you're going to argue with him, make sure you know you're stuff, cause the man wrote the textbook!

Awesome prof. He knows his stuff. Hard class but well worth it. Learnt SO much. Tests are killer. Pay attention to what he tells you to study in class. He teaches from an economic perspective. If you want to do anything in international business make sure you take international marketing with this guy.

AWESOME! Took his class 3 years ago, and still think about how he was a great prof. Ignore everything above and listen only to ME. Bruning can teach you things that you never knew existed. He has some really funny stories. Yes, the final project is a monster, but it is all worth it in the end. DO IT.
