Comment:
Uses power points which frequently have mistakes on them. Doesn't like when students have questions. Syllabus is confusing and tests are spaced unfairly and awkwardly. If you are able to teach yourself from the text and you get Grace Yong as your lab professor (who was actually helpful and tried to teach what Loh did not) you can probably pass

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Avoid him at all costs. Does not explain anything, flies through powerpoints and constantly makes mistakes. Does not understand questions you ask him, he is foreign. Must have a clicker for the class, to earn 5% participation and he asks useless questions.

Teaches completely by powerpoints that are too hard to understand. Book is useless. Quiz every Friday. Announces exams when he feels like it, so stay on top of exam schedule! Not an easy A at all. He realizes that this class is unnecessarily hard, therefore he grades on a curve. a 58-65 is a C...just Pass/Fail the class and you'll be fine.

This guy really isn't as horrible as everyone else says he is. He gives you the answers to all the homework problems, the grading scale is skewed to your advantage, and virtually everything in class is up on blackboard. You've got to be partially brain dead not to pass this class.

Very boring. The whole class was lecture with power point. Weekly quizzes, 3 exams, 1 extra credit paper. Everything online in case you miss class. Take it if you need the gen ed its mad easy I have no sense of physics and I was able to pull off a B- to put it in perspective I am probably the last person NASA would hire. Take it and bring homework

The class is boring but not as hard as everyone is making it out to be. A 71% is a B-. Gives practice exams and takes about 3/4 of those questions and puts them on tests. Also, an extremely easy extra credit paper at the end that puts 10 extra points to your final grade. The only way you can get a C is if you never study.

Worst professor ever, and I don't say that lightly. Not an awful person, but TERRIBLE teacher. Very disinterested in students, changes from syllabus constantly, unprepared, lectures from dense powerpoints with lots of errors. AVOID.

This class is very hard if you just don't have the natural mind set of physics. Instead of teaching you he just does powerpoint slides and reads off of them and when you ask a question he answers in physics terms, which you dont understand!! It's almost like he is speaking a different language....good luck!

Very boring just goes over powerpoints all class, doesn't do many demonstrations and is foreign so he sometimes doesnt get things, the only thing good i have to say is his grading on everything is automatically curved i.e. a 86 is an A. and all homework is an automatic 10% on the test.

Terrible professor. Homeworks and in class material do not prepare you for exams. If you ask him to go through a problem, he whips out the solutions manual and copies right from it. Thank you tenure.

Easy class! Recommend to anyone who is a non-physics major and needs a non lab science credit. The material is boring but is grading scale makes it impossible to fail. a 71 is a B-.

Worst teacher EVER in my opinion for anything over 100 level physics. Powerpoint teaches you, not Loh, and half the time the information is wrong. He just stands there with his laser pointer. Ask around. If you have a choice, wait a couple semesters until he's not teaching the course anymore.
